guys its their decision. besides the legal aspect i think they dont want to run into any entitlement of people having payed ("donated").

Its such a big difference if you do something for free on a private basis or taking money for whatever reason from a bigger number of people regarding responsibility, work schedules, decisions etc.

Sie dürfen und wollen keine Spende annehmen, weil das gegen den Lizenzvertrag verstossen würde, das haben die entwickler aber auch schon in verschiedenen threads geäussert.

es wird nichts an spenden geben,weil der server sonst schneller down ist als man gucken kann, also lasst doch bitte disskussion,.

The project exists because it hasn't yet been shut down.

The owners of the IP have every right to shut it down. They do not need a reason to do this.

If they see any money coming into this project, or anything associated with it (like our server hosts) because of people who intend to support the project, what do you think they will do? Verify our transactions (thus providing tacit support for what we do)? Or shut us down?

It's pointless even to discuss this, because our policy is set in stone.
