Having a group and a tank, is not an if, its how the game works.

I assume you also have a keyboard, a mouse, a screen, gear equipped and skills in your skill bars, this are not ifs, this are basic assumptions that anyone who is giving advice in what to spec should make.

I dont recommend x or y because you dont use skills and just autoattack, i assume everyone uses skilsl, everyone joins groups and those groups have tanks, dps and healers in them, thats how the game works.

What you forgot is you are giving people advice in what to spec, i dont see anywhere that this is a thread for people who run solo wps that never join groups.

I'm giving advice based on my experiences with the class and spec. I've learned that you won't always have someone there to buff you, you won't always have a guard or a fellow healer, sometimes you will have to fight alone or unsupported in the cluster.

You can leave the thread, I don't care for anything more you have to say.

Well for one you shouldnt assume..... I have used a laptop and know people that still do and use their trackpads instead of a mouse. I know that's not your point but it is a recurring theme with you making assumptions.

Also I am certain I have played SC's with 1-0 tanks split between 2 groups, this is not a maybe or an if... it happens, and people deal with it, in such cases GREAVE OF SIGMAR IS AN OP TACTIC BOTH OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY, I needed to reemphasize a point that brought this whole discussion to this point. no my caps lock didnt break for a minute

Greave of Sigmar has no room in any WP spec.

Divine Fury, Fanaticism, Hastened Dinivity, Grace of Sigmar, Intimidating Repent and maaaaaybe even Divine Justice are your options to fill those 3 tactic slots (4 in T4). All those tactics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Greave of Sigmar

If you don't have a tank guarding you, Intimidating Repent is like 10000 times better for your survivability than Greave of Sigmar.

Hey man player preference at that point. I feel like my playstyle allows for greave to be more beneficial than Intimidating Repent, not saying its a bad choice by any means, I am just saying it depends on how you wanna run the spec, I for one wouldnt mind trying it out or switching it up, but I also know greave is not a bad tactic.

I didnt say it was BAD. I just mentioned at least 5 other tactics that are better.

Divine Fury, no brainer if you are going DPS (20% more damage > damage you gain from buffing your own Str and debuffing their toughness with Greave of Sigmar).

Fanaticism, +10% chance to crit and +10% to parry.

Hastened Dinivity, you use a 2H weapon with good DPS. Autoattacks can hurt a lot on squishy/armor debuffed enemies. I guess you could remove this one for something else if your WS is really low.

Grace of Sigmar, you NEED this if you plan on helping with (melee) heals.

Intimidating Repent, AoE detaunt (50% less damage from enemies that are within 30ft of your target). I don't think i need to explain how this is much better than any toughness buff you gain from Greave of Sigmar.

Divine Justice, good for soloing (ranged attacks deal more damage with PoR procs so you will have a relatively easier time against kiters) and for groups too when several people assisting on the same target proc PoR at the same time.

Greave of Sigmar is not bad, but you only have 3 tactic slots and there are much better options available for both full DPS and melee heal specs. I understand that you might prefer using it over other tactics, but preference =/= most effective.

edit: Are you the SW Beebop?

Fair enough, I concede and we are in agreement, there are better options then greave of sigmar when running in a group.

It doesnt matter anyways, DPS WP get flamed 24/7 in SC's anyhow because we are running a DPS WP regardless of how good a build we have.

Hmm I've been away since May, did they change 2H to no longer give AOE Detaunt, and now we have to spec into intimidating repent, like we had to back on live ?
