The damage effect on Discordant Fluctuation will now only trigger a maximum of once per 2s per character affected.
Same as On Your Guard! is.

yeah but OYG! is inherently better b/c it procs on melee and magic
if it was changed to mirror it then Dis flux would finally be more viable in my opinion

You seriously want an aoe to reflect for every target it hits? So Annihilate ticking every second against 9 targets (aoe cap) with all of them affected by DF would take 112*9*3=3024 damage over 3 seconds?radiantknight wrote:Aza, but that's exactly how it should work per tooltip. And the main issue with that aura was that it was reflecting ranged damage as well, not just magic.
Adding a global 3 second cooldown for this aura kinda denies its purpose, since the reflect is laughable, better use other auras.
Someone please feel free to correct my tooltip damage but I remember DF hitting for more than 112 at the end of the 12-21 anyways.

The damage reflected is so meager, even under a concentrated group effected by it on one target that it does not warrant using. On live, the aura would reflect damage per damage initially, but as AZ pointed out, they nerfed it into a 2 sec cd. If DF ticked for tick with dots and group AoE (indirect attacks) it may be worth trying again. Make the switch to all magic damage, as the tooltip.inplies, Dots, AoEs and Direct, and you fundamentally change the counter bomb group for Destro. In terms of mirroring it for Order, there is no direct mirror for mdps, except bleeds, which I'd be ok with proccing for Kotbs.

fluctuation didn't originally had coldown cos magic damage are not istant as melee and also caster suffer less damage from magic than from melee hits.
DF balanced the SM reduce coldown cos that way bw both done and recive more damage.
If then a nerf during war stories occured that just happened to be bw buff cos this is a directly counter to bw bomb and not to anyother classes.
I'm anyway neutral on the question, since i'm against aoe proc and group buff easy damage. But i don't wanna let order have advantage when their mostfull rappresentatives not even want to talk to balance their shiny tools.

OYG is only useful for one thing: to farm mobs.
The kotbs who use it to fake damage in the sc statistics, have normally other "unpleasant habits", like
no guard & ae taunt
+ foccused offense
+ specced for stagger instead knockdown and dirty tricks
+ mini-punting targets away, when they are low life
And occasionally in SCs we can see the mighty OYG + all out assault combo, which deserves a three days ban for stupidity.
P.S.: if the Sorc/BW bombing is too strong/to easy atm, maybe the balancing should start on their side.

I'm pretty sure the RoR implementation of OYG! credits the groupmember who has OYG! with the damage instead of the KotBS casting it, which is a further disincentive to run OYG! just to inflate one's own statistics.
