SH has really good synergy with Marauder, because of Mara armour debuff and because their debuff types are the same. If you team up with a Mara, it's probably the best destro RDPS class. And because you can kite really well.

In the last section of this video, you can see Agrot just racking up the kills in a 4 man group. Chosen, Mara, Squig, and DoK. https://vimeo.com/138827246

Not gonna spread this around because I need all the edge I can get, but this works. If you are reading this and think you already have kiting down (and you might) if there is something in this blog you don't do, give it a shot. You never know.

Pre-kite.
SWW will help (and should be a class staple instead of a mastery skill)
The recommended spec unfortunately lacks burst, but sustain and survivability is there.
I will switch between that spec, a FEO/Plink or Shrapnel spec, and a BigBounce/BadGas spec depending on my level of intoxication.

Squig Herders are an insane support dps, starting at low levels and scaling pretty evenly.

They get very strong at this role at 25 with the heal debuff, which is also an extra dot, strong at 28 with the range tactic.

Your best role starting at a low level is keeping your dot on absolutely everything, pressure the enemy team hard with it, it will be easy for literally any other dps to follow up for a kill.

Be mobile, Squig Herder is the most mobile ranged dps in the game. If you force any of the melee to chase you, you are giving free opportunity to your primary dps.

Don't worry about the festerbomb comparison, you don't have it, don't worry about it. At end game, you have 1s cast time on Plink, which is very powerful sustained dps. Your biggest problem is not having enough tactic slots, you will be pretty AP starved.

The pet is absolutely incredible, it can be buggy and I haven't played a pet class yet on this server, so I don't know how it is compared to live, but your Spike Squig has a very impressive damage output, especially against squishy targets. MAKE SURE that you micro your pet commands, at least pet attack and pet follow.

You have a ranged silence, a ranged disarm, an aoe slow that punts you backwards, an ability that makes you run faster, a tactic that makes you run faster, a pbaoe knockback, among other things.

Your goal again is to pressure the enemy team, keep dots up, heal debuff, and apply plinks/Run N' Shoots on the assist train if needed.

That would be awesome, but almost as awesome; I was looking for a good SH avatar and that photo came up. Opportunity taken.
