Balancing WL to Mara is silly because they aren't mirrors. The WL mirror Squig Header pet mechanic and the SW mirrors the Mara stance mechanic. Mara get extra stuff to balance that they don't get a pet and SW get extra stuff that Squig Headers don't get to balance they don't get a pet.
Coming on the forums to derail an AAO thread with Marauder whine is sad. I don't see Order running to the forums to talk about the 2-3k festering arrows you hypocrite.

You know, you're right. Maybe we should just take away weapons from everyone and make every ability do only 1 damage and give everyone the same health pool. It's human nature to argue for your own self interests. I don't agree that it only takes place one sided or just in videogames. I think Maras really extremely strong DPS, they have an amazing toolkit.
I think SM/SH/Engi drop off DPS wise in T4 when armor gets really high.
I think BWs have a better toolkit than Sorc, but think both are fantastic range DPS when compared to SW/SH.
I don't think WLs are OP and need to be nerfed, I don't remember them being extremely strong endgame either, when compared to other melee dps.
I think SM/BO could use group utility buffs.
It's silly tho to say "One Side always blah blah". I appreciate realm/faction pride, but petty bickering isn't a great display of it.

WL (needs slight buff) / Mara (needs slight nerf)
Slayers (need slight nerf) / Choppa (needs slight buff)
WH / WE (WE might need a small buff)
rDPS:
SW (fine as is) / SH (fine as is (maybe slight buff))
Engi / Magus (both need buffs)
Sorc / BW (fine as is, BW has better survivability while sorc has a stronger (shorter) rotation))
Tanks:
SM / BO (Both need buffs, SM slightly more than BO)
IB (fine where it's at) / BG (slight buff to DPS/2h tree)
Kob / Chosen (Fine where it is)
Heals:
Sham (needs slight buff to healing) / AM (needs slight buff to survivability)
WP / DoK (fine as is)
Zealot / RP (Both need buffs to survivability)

ah it's good to be back, feels like old times, the "Nerf Maras" cries were loud just before WAR went dark - mostly because they had just buffed them. They seem fine to me (and no I don't play one).

When you present your opinion like that, the more reasonable among us would agree with you or at least argue back in a constructive manner.
I agree with pretty much every point, tho I think BW is slightly strong than Sorc. Their damage is similar enough that the big utility difference (50% health debuff, knockdown, instant 40% snare on channel spell, 50% skill buildup debuff, self cleanse) outweights the slight damage advantage Sorc has.
That being said, it's not enough of an advantage that I'd ever complain or ask for a change. Sorcs get to play around with bubble builds that BWs can't try.
I've never had an issue with fester bombs, what a SW can do every M2, Sorcs/BWs get to do close to every 10 seconds. Many MMOs have featured a class that realize on a long cooldown to do crazy damage, without that cooldown they do less damage than other range.
I remember the immunity to armor penetration combined with the high armor possible with RR80+ armor sets being one of the main issues. It made for a class that did great damage, had great utility and was very tanky. I have a Mara here and played one on live. They get crazy strong. I'm not asking for the class to get nerfed, I believe in buffs > nerfs.
