luucaa can you please re read what you comment :/
"You're still better off maxing out Block than adding Parry IMO. With Mixed Def build and Downfall, I can max out my Block rating, and have a minimum of 50% Parry up nearly all the time. This leaves me points to spend in Disrupt. "
ah no cos block increase % is a lot less than parry, and since you have 60% on dodge disrupt no sense specc full block.
(not melee damage are irrelevant if you just interruopt bomb or they are not from st on your guard)
"-I guess Downfall, Dizzying Blow, and Repel are not support tools? "
since when spent point in the corrupt tree make these skills better .......... spent points increase damage or unclock skills those skill are cc so spent point there do not make them better or doing more damage or do better cc ( snare always snare.... it not snare better.)
KD or stag are both 1 cc is this is totally irrelevant you can choose 1 and i would choose 1 aoe interrupt rather than 1 st interrupt. You may want BG for KD and chosne for stag.
"15 second cool-down is not spammable IMO. It should be used on every cooldown when you are fighting in Melee range. "
definbition of spamable: something with no coldown or when it's coldown is equal or less its duration :/
wounds debuff cd is 15 sec and last 20 sec----> it's spam able.
"If you are spending all your points in Discord, Why would you NOT get the Heal Debuff aura?"
there are 2 points left for either boost a little other auras and only if you go bomb take the 25% heal
debuff.
about toughnes you really think it can help vs 700 point damage from a boiling blood or a fest arrow?
better protect vs what you can protect. Armor and resistence reduced damage in % exept vs fest arrow and torment something that you should not care cos it's not aoe damage and if they are attcking you they are doing somethign wrong or your party is dead and maybe those resistence more high could had help them....
Your tank not gonna go down in hold the line if in group even focus st, it may go down by guards damage on aoe so that's why dodge /disrupt / parry and also resistence.
Also
discord path increase the wounds debuff value the damage of all your spiritual attacks, it also make sorc damage better camon ...
armor/resistence > toughnes

Re: Chosen guides?
Just did some comparising for level 20 (250 Toughness atm):
Warped Flesh: Absorbs 208 damage / 3 secs = 69,333 DPS mitigated.
Rugged: +80 Toughness
250 Toughness = 50 DPS mitigated
330 (250+80) Toughness = 66 DPS mitigated
80 Toughness = 16 DPS Mitigated
~70 DPS vs 16 DPS.
Or am I looking at this wrong?

You'd do all of us a favor by doing that yourself, thank you very much.Tesq wrote:luucaa can you please re read what you comment :/

Block: Melee, ranged, AND spells.
Parry: Melee *crickes*
Also, what part of blocking giving you 25% parry don't you get? Don't you understand that block is far more valuable because of Mixed Defenses? You don't need to stack parry because you get 25% for free.

You said, and I quote: "ALL chosen support tools exept "tooth of .." are on discord path"Tesq wrote:since when spent point in the corrupt tree make these skills better .......... spent points increase damage or unclock skills those skill are cc so spent point there do not make them better or doing more damage or do better cc ( snare always snare.... it not snare better.)
This is clearly not true. Stop trying to defend bs.
Wrong. KD is good in all situations. Stagger is only good in large scale organized RvR. And you might see stagger just as an interrupt, but that just shows how much you misuse it, tbh. A KD is so much more than a interrupt. Getting stunned for 3 seconds in DEADLY. And sure, you may... IN TIER 4!Tesq wrote:KD or stag are both 1 cc is this is totally irrelevant you can choose 1 and i would choose 1 aoe interrupt rather than 1 st interrupt. You may want BG for KD and chosne for stag.
Wrong. Pressing a button once, and then again 15 seconds later =/= spamming. You're saying you don't do anything inbetween those 15 secs? Your definition is wrong:Tesq wrote:definbition of spamable: something with no coldown or when it's coldown is equal or less its duration :/

26 - 25 = 1.

All the pros use a script that uses ravage whenever WASD is pressed down as well, it really takes ravage spamming to a new level of efficiency.Abolition wrote:Ravage.Kacia wrote:Just wondering if there are any good chosen guides out there. Re: Chosen guides?
How can you not use Flawless armor tactic for tanky chosens? it was necessary
Re: Chosen guides?
At 26, I run Toughness and Mixed Defenses. Or Toughness and Warped Flesh.verg87 wrote:How can you not use Flawless armor tactic for tanky chosens? it was necessary
If - IF - I had a third slot right now, Flawles Armor would be slotted. That said, right now, running a Toughness tactic allows me to Talisman for STR. With End-game gear and end-game Crit items, Flawless armor was mandatory, I agree. The state of the game as it is, it's better to have toughness and Parry or a semi weak shield.

Re: Chosen guides?
I am toying with the idea of a Chosen Guide at the moment, but with cap at 26, it would have to be segmented by Tiers to be of any use. That's a lot of work.
Re: Chosen guides?
and last tactic on shield and sword like power of the gods, i would experiment with warped flesh and 4-th grade block shield/3 grade disrupt reknown builds, thanks!
