It might be because I found the 10v1 lal funny. I don't know it's just people seeing things different. The thing is if you think someone is being disrespectful you could always ignore them, it's really that easy. But victims will play victim.Razid1987 wrote:"LOL L2P noob"Morf wrote:Most have respect and generally **** talking is more banter then griefing
How is that "respectful" or "banter"?
Or how about "10v1 lal" "Learn to play your class"
and the list goes on. I've seen it countless times on this server. Never EVER in WAR did I see so much **** talking.
Is this an american thing?

Just tell your healers to leave them to die and they'll get the point

At this point I'm just waiting for a separate thread where we can all post hate tells that we've received

You could create a pretty nice montage if you made a DPS zealot and refused to heal anyone in SC's.

I sometimes compose a short poem for them when I defeat someone. Its not often so I have plenty of rumination time.
Re: Is Respect For Your Enemy Gone From MMOs?
This is a non-issue.
Once a shaman mocked me and laughed at me after I died.
But (maybe because I am not emotionally unstable) that did not really bother me.
If I recall correctly, someone mentioned the ignore function (now) works.
If your well-being is threatened because of ****-talk, I deem said function to be the single best bet to salvation.
I am heavily against disabling inter-faction chat just because a vocal minority may get offended over ****-talking kids on the web.
Especially since I enjoy being able to shout bullshit at my enemies as well when the hosts clash.

In Warhammer Live you couldn't talk to the enemy like you can here in RoR. Talking cross realm isn't necessary in my opinion, and I think as the server grows it will prove to do more harm than good.
THUMP - "MEDIOCRE!!" ...Who's laughing now?

I don't notice it that much. And when I do, I ignore it.
Sometimes cross realm chat can lead to some pretty fun stuff.

I like it. It's cool. I suggest we eliminate the /s and /t to enemy players but allow for in-game email without items or gold. That way, players will be forced to stop and go to a mailbox and write out just how butt hurt they are, and the receiver will have a permanent record of the butt hurt he's caused. Easier for screen shots too.
