Any sorc tried aoe build using Black Horror?

The init debuff didn't mattered alot back on live, but with low init everybody got atime it should add quite a bit of crit chance on targets. Anybody tried it?

if you got the points to blow I don't see why you wouldn't use it as an opener in an M2 bomb.

I just don't see the point in ever speccing bomb, you have plenty of AoE damage in a single target spec, but without HoR you single target damage is not nearly as potent.

low resists low initative and many of the sc maps have cluster **** regions like murkain temple and also keeps seiges

One interesting build- Disastrous Cascade + Triumphant Blasting tactic, for aoe KB as extra defense vs melee.

Though ye with aoe spec probably have to go aoe all the way.

yes but you don't need to spec bomb to AoE well, ice spikes IW PoS, and SS w/ or w/o m2 is devastating even without any points in the bomb tree.

However when you spec bomb you lose out on a lot of single target damage which is not worth it.

Disastrous Cascade and kb on aoe? That makes sense in bombing. Triumphant Blasting is only good for 2 things: soloing and getting people off the walls. That's it. You already have enough skills to proc it without specing DC.
Black Horror takes too long to cast and has too small radius.

Because Scoreboard Damage = Good Player (even if it's not effective damage that WPs AoE heal through)

I think a lot of people fall into that trap. AoE Slayers, AoE Maras, AoE Choppas, Engis and Magus.


Both here and on live I've watched people AoE tanks the entire SC, get big numbers and kill no one.


(It comes down to personal play style and what you do within the game. I like roaming open rvr with a group and try and get into small group vs group fights. In those situations I value single target over aoe. )
