the thing is the game is not really in alpha or beta , evertything is ok , it s just that the devs has to find all the right files and apply them (from what i heard at least) .

it is Alpha and they don't FIND files, they WRITE them ,code them from scratch.

I'm not in the habit of banning people for specific use of words. Behavior that is increasingly offensive will generally receive a warning first.

There is a profanity filter in place both on the forums and in-game. It doesn't cover the word "retard". For the forums at least, you could use a browser extension to replace words you personally find offensive.

oh , i tought mythic gave them permission , therefore , gave them the "FILES" with everything in it , but just not at the right place... if they have to rewrite everything then , i suggest , WE as the community try to help them ( for those of us who know computer coding or modeling or wtvr) .

tl;dr: Stop crying like a b*tch about every change made. The game will keep changing and we are mere subjects to test that out. Bring constructive feedback on what and how to change instead of just saying "xyz is bad".

Doing a character wipe would hurt the population drastically, and I don't think there is any real need for it.


The problem is people come to the server and play it as if its a finished product, and are ignorant to the fact it is a server in alpha. I would imagine "beta" would be when most everything is implemented. And a live/launch would be when the server is on par with live, and the only thing left is to improve upon the original games mechanics/balance.

Having some kind of requirement to post in certain subforums like general discussion and suggest/feedback should improve post quality dramatically. Like having at least 1 character max level and a certain amount of playtime.

A lot of the "bad" posts are made by people who have only made it to like level 15, got analblasted by a BW and decide to make a thread about balance/nerf etc...

A subforum that requires a certain number of good bug reports on the tracker could also create a good environment for discussion among people who actually alpha test and report bugs etc...

The problem is, that there are indeed good reports also coming from people that do not post or report anything else at all. You cannot keep them out of the discussions. I'd rather have some people instantly muted on the forum for excessive sh*tposting than generally locking the subforums.
