With that logic every 3 month a char wipe would have to happen.
Also who says that everyone is playing the same char in T4 all the time. Some players like to level different chars.

I think people who are playing Warhammer are use to it. WAR always had a steep curve to break into. Ask a fresh 40 trying to fight RR100s.

The key is, like on live, allowing people to get to T4 quickly if they want to. You could get lvl 40 in a couple of days with a rats group. If you make rats function the way they did on live, respawning quickly and from the exact same spot, people will be able to get to T4 as quickly as they want.

You have to be realistic about your servers population, 150 - 500 people is going to result in empty dead tiers if spread too thing. The only thing that can fix that is more people.

In my opinion, you need to have those 150 - 500 people in the same tier, splitting it across 4 tiers is a bad idea.

Interesting Idea.

Since this is not a paid game, and the Devs can literally do whatever they can code..
Why not allow players to select to turn off their XP gains and limit the renown ranks to 10 levels above their XP level. In this way, you can have a t4, T3, T2, and even T1 character.

If the Devs made locking the zones contingent upon locking T4, it would promote action in each tier. We could have a cumulative zone lock requirement type thing to promote play in the different tiers weekly. If t2 needed to be locked to lock T3, and T2+T3 needed to be locked to lock T4 and grant City access, then it would kinda force play into those tiers using the XP locked characters.

The locks per T2 and T3 would need to be longer than normal, say if Order locks T2, it stays that way for 24hrs. In that time, they would need to lock T3 or T2 resets and it all starts over. However, if Destro Locks T3, then T2 becomes contested at an hour.

It would make for some interesting character hopping, promote players learning the different classes, and would be a way to keep the lower tiers active, if only for 1-2 days per week.

I'm no game designer, but I can image the twink battles in T2 and T3 once we have been in T4 for a month.
