Problem with Abilities.

I've had RoR downloaded and have been playing for a few days, I must say it's great to be back.
There are a few problems I've noticed on about every character I've made so far.
In pvp either while I'm chasing someone or trying to run away my abilities just refuse to work while I'm moving.
Let's take my Black Guard for example. I was literally right behind an enemy player this earlier not even a foot behind him/her and could not hit them with a single ability. My character would twitch as if he wanted to attack but simply wouldn't do it.
I can move around as much as I want fighting mobs in pve and have no trouble with it, but when it comes to pvp it seems I have to stand still sometimes to land my abilities.
Any idea what could be the problem or is this just a bug?
I played when Warhammer was live and never remember this happening.

Are you playing from the United States?

If so, it's due to the server being located in that large piece of land (Europe) that we liberated in WWII. The lag between your PC and the server, and the lack of lag between your opponent and his/her PC, makes it appear as if you are within melee range. You; however, are not actually registering as such. The only fix is to move to Europe, or switch to a RDPS class. I have the same issue on my CHosen. I have taken to literally trying to get a few feet in front of any enemy I want to hit. For example, If they are running and I am chasing them while mounted, I won't hit my snare attack until the rump of my horse is even with the player. This somewhat ensures I make contact, but again, it's not 100%.

My Shammy Alt is one hell of a lot of fun. Try one of those or Magus. Or switch to order and play a BW like 80% of the players.

For the first time in the history of the world living in the us is a bad thing

But yeah I get where he comes from cause I live in the states

And it sucks but my bigges gripe atm is dealing with cave in and how it **** up character models

They say they fixed it but I still see allies get stuck in permanent knock down animation loop
When I get Kd'd my character just stands absolutely still and disabled making me wonder if I got Kd'd or staggered or something

This is just my opinion but it would seem in live the server took in account only the players position as far as what is happening on their screen on some abilities like KD and punt this is why some times you thought you got away on live then you would port back and be knocked down or you would be running and since on your opponents screen you were still in front of them you would port into the punt. I believe the new server takes into account both of your locations so it makes punt unreliable and melee attacks not work even though you are on their back. Like I said just my opinion so don't freak out. Sorry in advance Az if I'm waaaaaaaay off base.

Don't worry britbongs, when Trump is prez... we will have him move the UK closer to the US and we will build a sea wall to keep out all the French, and you guys can be #52. We can take or leave Ireland up to you guys.

Thanks a lot guys, I figured that is what it was. It does get pretty annoying at times, But I can deal with it no problem until it's fixed :P

Roll a RDPS you will be much happier. I always played a WH on live, its pretty much unplayable currently imo. If your not a slayer or choppa spamming aoe your gonna get extremely frustrated, its near impossible to find where the player actually is. Running in front of them can help sometimes but being a class like a WH without reliable snare makes this impossible. Rolled a BW, couldn't be happier.
