Gearing Out at 26?

New to the server and looking for some advice!

How do you go about gearing out min/maxing once you hit 26? (Interested in knowing for both Destro and Order. Currently playing Order)

Does the gear come completely from RvR or do you pve (PQs/Inf) on this server for gear?


My friends and I (7 of us total) just started playing on RoR last night. Loving the server! We were all wondering how we go about min/maxing our toons on this server.

Thanks, so is Sentry currently the best set available, via pve and rvr?

Currently it is extremely easy.

Essentially all vendor gear and for physical dps you pick up the SC weapons when you can.

Traditionally in warhammer min-maxing comes from talismans, jewelry, masteries, pocket items (not available yet), and Renown abilities (not implemented), as armor and weapons tended to be very clear cut in what is "best", which currently is vendor items from the NPC's in the keeps/capital cities, and will eventually become RvR sets and SC weapons.

Aside from Sov (RR80) gear and above there isn't any type of alternate sets, or pieces of gear similar to ARPG/Diablo style games that have unique effects that change how you play.

Thanks, I was reading about people grinding inf rewards, pqs, ect. So I wasn't sure if that was the way to go or if there was RvR gear that was better.

Inf rewards currently are lvl 18 purple gear, which are outclassed by level 23-25 purple gear in many cases. There may be some cases like bw/sorc gloves being slightly better thanks to 1% crit. This is mostly due to talisman slots.
