[POLL] How should casting (self) interrupts be working

Time for another poll! This time about casting another skill them one is already building up.

In pretty much every game i've played you move to interrupt a spellcast, or sheath your weapon. Eagerly pressing the next spell button never does it, because it ruins rotations due to server lag and such.

Can anyone remember what this was like in the original game?

I actually talked to Azarael about this a little while ago and he suggested a poll about it, so here it is!

I know for me its making it hard to pull off the Festering arrow > Moral 2 shadow warrior combo due to server lag, because if i hit moral 2 too early it cancels the festering arrow and if i hit it too late it doesn't apply to the shot.

Is anyone else affected by this? What are your thoughts?

Atm its kinda annoying to quee skils into a rotation due to this next skill interupting the current one.
If people wanna cancel a cast or whatever they can just jump, no need to disable the abbility to chain a rotation.
I know in original war i was allways spamming my keys to quee skills into each other and it worked fine.
So No- It's stopping me chaining my skills properly

On live you would always attempt to finish the current cast and the next button you started mashing would get set aside into a queue, unless you moved/jumped or got cc'd. If you mashed a bunch of skills while one was being cast, the most recently mashed one in the queue would fire off next. NerfedButtons may have been using this functionality for it's skill queue system as well, and may have been broken when devs broke that addon with an update. Necessary evil perhaps.

If the existing handling breaks some aspect of NerfedButtons that can only be a positive thing in my book.

this not break NB, i dont know how it should anyway....you just want to make a rotation and being fast as possible; when you need to spam heals for exemple you cannot just wait every time that the spell finish cast and look at skill bar to make sure you do not cancel or bug it. You have to look at your surrounds and what i trained my hands for if i have to look instead my skills bar every half seconds?

That need to be fix, it make only gameplay worst and not as intended.

Tesq, I agree.

It's hard to say, server lag some times causes cast to just hang and I'm sitting there waiting for a spell to go off and it never happens

And what about skills that can't be interrupted by moving?

I like the idea, but skills like Hold the Line! and Throw Weapon should be interruptible by another skill.

Channeling skills can or should normally be interrupted by pressing Esc button and jumping.

^ This.

Nothing more frustrating than coming into los in order to cast a spell and then the spell doesn't fire or just gets stuck. Sometimes a few seconds is all you have to interrupt a healer (or lolbw's currently).
