Regen is not fun to play against, neither is it fun to play against classes who can deal good/very good damage and heal themself while doing so. If you really need that god damn dps spec for Archemage and Shamy, make it such. This in between clearly doesn't work in the game.
RoR is not a solo game sure but yet there is classes and specs made for solo/small grp scale content. If we completely ignore that part of the game it becomes a true zergshow and if you want that well fair enough but I think a more healthy RvR would be a little less warbands and more people who would spice up some small scale fights. The little solo play the game has gets ruined by certain specs, classes and cheese stuff that is simply not fun to play against.
Also someone explain me how mitigation works in the game. I tested it how guard works with my buddies and for some reason I was hitting my friend for 2.4k with Boiling Blood and the moment he was guarded he only took 200-400 crits from boiling blood and the tank itself to barely any damage (Most damage was blocked).
Someone explain me how that works. How is there so much mitigation in the game? Idk I think all defensive buffs stacking is obviously to much for the game but apparently most people like exactly that and I think thats ok but I personally think we should remove a bit of defence and add a little more damage to the game. A dps should not become unkillable the moment a tanks just stands in his zone and a single healer stands behind him. Also the fact that guard damage can be block is insane. If I deal 400 damage to the dps, the target should take a good amount of that damage flat. Any ways, I don't think there is much change in the game soon. It's just a slight shift in balance again and thats it.

Re: RDPS patch inc
One thing i've come to realize is how Overpowered stacked Engineers are in the T3 bracket when doing scenarios, granted I know they fall off in T4, but I've made a few new characters on destruction and once I get to T3 Sw's are not really that big of a problem, now I know T3's doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, but if you're a newish player getting into the game, it can be a huge turn off and potentially ward new players away.
This is mainly talking about scenario's, make a new destro character get to T3 do some scenarios against engineers that are stacking and are mid 20's and see how much of a enjoyable experience you have, obv coupled with warpriest it's disgusting, but alas game shouldn't be really balanced around T3, but it is kind of a stepping stone for new players who might be trying out the game and just realize they're getting destroyed, with nothing they can really do about it.

You posted this in the other thread as well. It's certainly a hot take. Care to explain what's so overpowered about engineers and warrior priests, not just in general but also relative to magus and dok?Brighteluden wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 2:59 pm This is mainly talking about scenario's, make a new destro character get to T3 do some scenarios against engineers that are stacking and are mid 20's and see how much of a enjoyable experience you have, obv coupled with warpriest it's disgusting,

This person's opinion is just their personal feeling without any knowledge or logic, and I want to believe that class adjustments won't be based on such opinions.Brighteluden wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 2:59 pm One thing i've come to realize is how Overpowered stacked Engineers are in the T3 bracket when doing scenarios, granted I know they fall off in T4, but I've made a few new characters on destruction and once I get to T3 Sw's are not really that big of a problem, now I know T3's doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, but if you're a newish player getting into the game, it can be a huge turn off and potentially ward new players away.

What makes the Engineer so powerful?
- Magus should be able to do almost the same thing.
What aspects of WP are powerful?
- I think its Single DPS is quite destructive.
- It has no snare, and targets are easy to kite.
- For area attacks, you just cast Soulfire (1 sec, 25 feet dot), apply TAC, and spam Smite (AoE), so there's no burst.
- It has no CC.
What synergy is there between WP and Engineer in area attacks? Please tell me.

dahek ?! that called racism buddy. Solo play is cherry on top in this game remember it !borc1 wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 12:23 pm "solo" players dont deserve anything. literal mold on bread. straight out delete stealth and regen, watch the gameplay heal within a year

Yes, good pointlumpi33 wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 8:02 amgood post! 100% agree!ponko22 wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 7:26 am What I truly hope for is that developers quantify things like DPS, buffs, debuffs, defensive capabilities, CC capabilities, and kiting capabilities (there may be other necessary items) for DPS classes, and balance classes by visualizing their overall combat power.
I understand this is a very difficult task, but versatile classes should have lower DPS than classes that only have attack-focused abilities, and we should avoid simplistic arguments that demand class weakening based solely on the damage numbers displayed on the screen. If the opinion is that dealing damage is the most important thing for DPS classes, then please equalize the DPS of all DPS classes, fairly assign the same debuffs, CC capabilities, and defensive capabilities to all classes, and make the game boring.
It's ridiculous that even if I get instantly killed by a stealth class because I set all my Talisman skills to Weaponskills and all my TAC and ReknownPoint skills to be offensive, I'm criticized for the damage I achieved through effort and only that aspect is weakened.

Fair enough, that is reasonable.Prismo wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 8:04 amWell, absolutely, of course. However, you can't expect the game to be balanced around every one of those facets. At it's core, it is a team game and is balanced around that, not solo play.Deadpoet wrote: Mon Jul 06, 2026 2:37 pm Couldn't it be possible that this is ALSO a solo game? Can't it be a zerg game and a warband game and a 12 man game and a duo roam game and a solo game and a dungeon group game and even a solo pve world exploring game all at the same time?
Nevertheless, I am just advocating that, since solo play does exist, why not give SW what every other class has?
Let me be understood here:
I haven't suggested that the game be balanced around solo play.
I haven't even suggested that solo play capabilities (meaning those little tactics and abilities that nobody uses for warband play) be reworked or equalized throughout classes.
I know balancing even that off beat marginal little part of the game is very difficult.
I am MERELY asking for a crumb off the table of unsavoury and mouldy bread only a small percentage of population eat.
Re: RDPS patch inc
Do you realize the "buff" I am proposing (more like addressing a long standing surrealistic historical debt tbf) would have a net 0% effect in any kind of gameplay outside solo play, and honestly not much even there?Alubert wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 10:29 am SW, right next to WE, is first in line for a nerf, and you want to give it buffs??

Solo players deserve everything, just like every other player in RoR, whatever gameplay mode they choose to play.borc1 wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 12:23 pm "solo" players dont deserve anything. literal mold on bread. straight out delete stealth and regen, watch the gameplay heal within a year
On the second point, I can agree with you 100%. Take away stealth and regen? Cool by me. But until ALL classes are stripped from those features, let me keep asking for SW to have a tiny bit of what EVERY OTHER CLASS HAS.
And btw, deleting stealth and regen would not end the solo scene. It would just make It even more enjoyable and rewarding. Actually some people enjoy a challenge instead of going the easy path of hiding behind stealth or behind numbers.
