I mean I enjoy the gameplay so much but game just doesnt want me to play it.UriShekelstein wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 6:01 pm Also, OP, my record for SC losses in a row was 22. Going 0-22 felt incredible. Truly a magnificent experience that will be cherished for eternity. Nothing makes you wanna keep playing quite like going against BiS pre-made farmers plowing through Conq-wearing peasants.
The game could be fixed very easily by way of dynamic (even static) number adjustments, but the devs/designers/GMs all have the same mindset.
That is, they want to cater to the geriatrics that can barely press five skills in rapid succession, but that have been playing the game for an eternity, and to do so, they have to keep them at an advantage by making it EXTREMELY difficult to grind through people that you know are terrible, but that you can't beat because of gear/stats.
The "veterans" then proclaim the following:
1) git gud
2) grind like we had to
Basically, new players don't stick around, and the population remains at a 300/day (NA time) level ad infinitum (when it SHOULD be 5K+, seeing how GREAT the base game, Warhammer Online, is).
As a thought experiment, imagine what would happen if there was a PVP game mode similar to Guild Wars (the original), where everyone was on an equal playing field.
The "vets" would lose their minds, as there would be fresh/young players demolishing them and leaving them in the dust. But this would shatter their delusional power fantasy, and once their fragile egos would break, they would be at risk of uninstalling.
They've got a phenomenal game...super fun from the onset.
But they've sabotaged the experience in a way that makes you wonder if they purposefully want to keep new players out.
Oh well...it is what it is.
Nothing will ever change.
Population will stay at a few hundred until the server finally shuts down.
