The T2 zones were ghost towns. On Live and on RoR before the merge.
People were running resources and hitting empty keeps. As soon as there was an enemy they switched to their t4 or t1 Character.

Isnt it like 10 years atm when they merged the Tiers? So i truely remember more from AoR Middle Tier's and stayed perma 39lvl on many chars because Soloroam/Small Scale PvP was the Norm + Also only 3 tactics instead of 4 and better gear to use than what we currently have in RoR T4. If not its close :D

Live after the sov/tyrant rework and before the rr100 expansion was really well balanced and fun. The gear progression made sense, classes were relatively balanced* and had more unique flavor. Unfortunately, this period of AoR was extremely short it gets kind of ignored. People focus on the disastrous rr100 expansion and the mess it was at launch.

*Except am/shaman and engi/magus every class performed its role reasonably well. RoR still has objectively weaker classes, they’re just different classes now.

Your request is out of place.
It’s like asking Coca-Cola to make a drink like Pepsi.

RoR is far better than AoR.

This is most evident in the class balance.
In AoR, if you played on the Order side, all you needed was 2xKnight, 2xWP, 2xSL.
Now you could say the balance is maintained, with the exception of WE and rdps, as we’re waiting for the rdps balance patch.
Great tank balance patch (all tanks have access to the ST super punt)
Very good healer balance patch.
Very good change to WS/Ini mechanics.
Very easy levelling and gear acquisition thanks to the unified currency and ward system.

If I had the choice, I’d obviously pick RoR.

Only a few things are worse than in AoR.
Unfortunately, the devs are encouraging zerg/blob play. Small-scale (max 6 players) is slowly dying out. The stupid 24 AoE cap means AoE DPS see much bigger numbers and are pushing even further into this senseless style of gameplay.
The devs don’t want to give us tools to escape from zergs, such as speed buffs from talismans (boots) and RD/CW.
And they stole the Chosen’s CS and don’t want to give it back, but SM got it instead ;).

We have a great PvE team, which is hinting that TotVL will be launched in the future, along with Tombs.

Gear disparity would be to crazy. Balancing as well, like mentioned before, would simply not work for our playerbase.

You say that, but your class isnt the one who had a 3rd spec added to it that noone I have ever met wanted, a shield tree added to it, and lost it's good sov set, it's good vic ring, and one of it's used to be amazing skil trees to that nonsense. Shield Dok was an insanely bad idea for the class IMO

We lost an amazing skill tree and our gearing is now worse then other classes
