Yeah stabbing your opponent in the sac is always a great opener.

I’d definitely be very interested in the videos.
I’m taking a slightly different approach with my build:

But I’ve also seen that Mijal—another WE player—uses the Path of Carnage as well. What’s the advantage there?
Hi Ziorah,
Ok I'll send you a video this week-end.
Also your spec is good, it's more DPS oriented than burst oriented. Once you reach your Bis gears you could play this spec with a strong burst as well. But I'm not sure about your tactics.
Path of Suffering = Heal Debuff + Good DPS
Path of Carnage - Path of Treachery = Good Survivability and cc + Good Burst
Re: [WE] i just started the game and i cant figure it out
It depends on which content you want to focus on. Is it for solo content, focusing on 1v1, or more for SC, small-scale, or Warband ?
Re: [WE] i just started the game and i cant figure it out
Content—that’s a really good question. As a beginner, I’m not quite sure where I want to go yet. With the weekend, I’m starting to see a direction.
RoR isn’t a solo game. I’ve learned that, heard it, and experienced it. I’d actually like to be able to hold my own in 1v1s, be effective in small groups, but also be able to play in unorganized WBs. But in those, I don’t have to be as effective. You can’t be good at everything.
But that’s exactly where your question comes in: where do I want to focus? That’s where it all starts. Where in RoR is there room and opportunity to excel in a specific area? I have a total of three classes that really suit me: ENgi, WL, and WE.

Basically, for almost all content except optimized 1v1, you can use the same gear setup (or nearly the same, with maybe just one piece swapped). You can change your spec if you’d like for small-scale or warband play.
For most content, there are two common end game gear mixes :
5 Sovereign pieces + 4 Triumphant pieces
6 Sovereign pieces + 3 Triumphant pieces
https://killboard.returnofreckoning.com ... 894/armory
3 differents small scale builds :
Open RvR build :
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 0,9437,523
SC build :
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 0,9434,523
or
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 50,523,521
For now, you’ll need to adapt the specs you want to play based on the points you currently have available, as well as your gear.
But this should give you a solid direction for endgame.
PS : Other gear and set combinations are also possible, and some skilled players don’t use these sets at all. I’ve given you two common setups.

Re: [WE] i just started the game and i cant figure it out
I was told (this isn't a direct quote, but my own words, so there might be some inaccuracies):
Actually, I don't want to play a regen-build either!
So when you say “Open RvR,” you mean Warbands because of “On Your Knees.” Your SC build looks like the one I linked, and your latest build is what I'm aiming for at RR70+.
Thanks for the gear tips. As soon as I hit CR40, I’ll play Bastion Lair and get the Bloodlord set. Before that, I’ll pick up Vanquisher so I don’t have to do Gunbad.
"The class is performing so well right now mainly because of the mDPS rework. The Witch Elf received massive upgrades across the board—both through brand-new skills and major reworks of old ones.
The biggest game-changers are definitely the independent elixir cooldowns and Sacrificial Stab now providing 100% armor penetration. They also smoothed out the rotation by turning the wounds debuff into a generator and restoring the synergy between Dagger Toss and Feinted Positioning. When you add the +10% crit boost from behind via Vehement Blades and the fact that we can now pop Witchbrew while stealthed, the class feels completely revamped and much more lethal."

Yes, the Witch Elf is overall in a pretty good spot right now. The 1 second burst is insane, but the 3 second burst has been nerfed. You also have to take into consideration that depending on the spec you play, you either won’t have the heal debuff or you’ll have less mobility. The Witchbrew spec has been significantly buffed in terms of damage.
No, this is not really a warband spec, but rather a spec for playing single target in open RvR. I never play in warbands myself, but if you want to play in warbands with AoE damage, you should take the 25% armor tactic and probably also the 25% increased finisher damage tactic to maximize your AoE output.

Do you have any tips for me on the “Kisses”? I pretty much just use Kiss of Death all the time. But I'm not really sure if I should switch between the Kisses during combat, depending on the situation.
Since I’m only CR 35, my rotation—build is in my link—looks something like this:
From invisibility: Feint, Positioning, Vehement, or Enfeebling, Heart Render, Wracking Pains, Agonizing Wounds, and Sacrificial Stab. Heart Seeker only on the second or third rotation, depending on the enemy.
Without invisibility: Shadow Leap, occasionally Elixir of Shadows for Enfeebling, HRT, WP, AW, and Heart Seeker and Sacrificial Stab as needed.
So it’s not as rigid as I described it... I’m just still pretty unsure about what the right approach is. The rotation you described looked a bit different, but it was intended for a different build. I often forget to use Agile Escape right now, just like one of the most important skills: Enchanting Beauty. But I’m working on getting better at it.
And I apologize here, since I’m asking more questions than the thread creator
And I’d like to say thank you, because I’m learning a lot here! Especially from you, @Heals.
