Those stat changes...is refund possible?
After all, these items were bough when they had different stats, i think its fair to allow to the player to refund them if the player thinks they are not worth their price now.

Forget about Fort & SC weapons for 2H tank. The good weapon is in PVE.
https://killboard.returnofreckoning.com/item/421118
i cant take the pain
but yes, sad to see that they missed the opportunity to balance out the " BIS = pve " weapon situation
The problem seems even worse now... Its also questionable why Darkpromise 2h weapons have 2 procs, and the frotress 2h has only 1 proc. Cant see any balance or fairness here. Maybe 2h melee weapons should have 2 procs generaly?
i miss the time when the best weapons had to be earned as a SC reward.
That was a fair deal and a smallscale carrot
Re: Patch Notes 03/04/2026
Devs: Plz remove Grimm Chest and Fleshrender from the game on Gear/armor patch in May. Blue gear should NOT be BiS in any builds, or better still nerf regen/4s stuff across the board.
specially dps classes should not have that much
Tnx

Re: Patch Notes 03/04/2026
Seems that the patch also changed/normalised weapon speed, can we get information, on those changes to? Like are all 1 handed weapon gets X amout speed, or the speed is based on the weapon type like daggers get X and axes get y.
Are there any rules regarding it? Ale are there any other hidden changes that we were not informed about, like perhaps changes to weapon reach?

Re: Patch Notes 03/04/2026
Good morning,
After spending quite some time playing the patch and analyzing it, I would like to share my opinion with both the player base and the development team.
The truth is that this is a very bittersweet patch. On one hand, we have something genuinely great: the new random King of the Hill event, which will bring a fresh dynamic to RvR. However, I have not been able to see it yet, and I get the impression that it is quite difficult for it to trigger. I believe the chance for it to appear should be increased, and that more detailed information should be provided about the exact requirements for its appearance. I am honestly really looking forward to trying it.
The negative side of the patch has been the weapon balance. Obviously, the balance team has done this with the best intentions, but it has been disastrous for the majority of players.
Balance once again follows the same direction we have seen in recent years: helping new players at the expense of veteran players, in the hope that these new players will stay and increase the server population. What initially seems like a great idea, driven by the best intentions of growing the server population, ends up having the opposite effect: new players play for a couple of months, reach max level very quickly without really knowing how to play their characters, and then quit the game; while veteran players see their effort thrown in the trash through massive nerfs to gear that took them a huge amount of effort to obtain.
This has been happening for quite some time: the renown rank cap at level 80 to avoid power gaps, the removal of Nerfed Buttons, the removal of city sieges as the only way to obtain Sovereign gear, the unification into War Crests for all equipment, scheduled city sieges, the simplification of unlocking PvE gear, the increase of RR gains across the board, and the possibility of obtaining ranked rings without having to play ranked. All of these changes, which may seem positive at first glance, have made the game monotonous and boring in the long term, causing veteran players—who had been playing for many years and who added depth to the game—to leave. Unintentionally, you are killing the veterans, who are the core of the server.
At the same time, we can clearly see that the average new player plays for 2–3 months, reaches level 80 with full Sovereign gear, and then quits without even having played a city siege, without ever joining a proper 6-man group for scenarios, and without even trying ranked.
What I want to say to our dear GM team is that the game is already simple enough and does not need to be simplified any further.
It is increasingly starting to resemble Leage of Legends, where all players have the same gear, rather than a true MMORPG. In every MMORPG I have played in my life, there has always been—and I believe there should be—a noticeable gap in gear between lower-level players and those with BiS, because those players have invested many years into the game.
As we all know, 95% of Return of Reckoning players are motivated by chasing “carrots” in the form of gear or renown rewards (this is also why the new lockout system is unpopular among average players, as it prevents them from obtaining those carrots). This is why there are very few players above RR 85: when there are no more carrots to chase, players feel they have no motivation to keep playing those characters. Those of us who push towards RR 90 (I’m very close!!!) do so because we genuinely enjoy our characters and simply enjoy playing—but we are the exception. However, with the new weapon balance patch, you have effectively removed the carrots that many players had already earned, and now players feel betrayed—and there is no worse feeling than betrayal.
I understand and agree with the need to make things easier for new players (and that is why many veteran players actively try to teach and guide them). However, you must also take care of veteran players: give them long-term goals, new gear, and new carrots to chase so that the server population continues to have meaningful objectives. They are the backbone of the community and the ones who promote the game.
Increasing the time required to obtain BiS gear will improve player retention. Add three new gear tiers for RR 90, 100, and 110 players, with slightly higher stats (around +15–20 extra attribute points per set compared to Sovereign), and remove the RR80 cap. You will see how this prevents players from quitting once they reach RR80 and increases the average player lifespan. Players want carrots.
Additionally, one thing I am seeing that many people do not understand (myself included) is why weapon balance has been released before class balance has even been finished. The community also struggles to understand why the RvR system has gone almost four years without any significant updates, when the game is primarily built around PvP. Meanwhile, PvE content is constantly being updated, fixed, and expanded with new gear that is even better than RvR gear.
It gives the impression that everything is being done the wrong way around.
I hope this message helps the GM team to see different perspectives and reconsider what is currently being done to their most loyal players.

Re: Patch Notes 03/04/2026
Dear devs,
Event is great! Fairly quick to do, not a grind fest, perfectly balanced time/effort/rewards.
Griffs are cool. Great job mates, you are awesome!
New RvR King of the hill? Great!
Lockout? Almost excellent. Just change it for only 16+ lvl characters.
Weapon balance? Bad.
To Whom It May Concern:
We, Players, really don't pick our weapons by that 5% proc whateverdmg. It was originally designed as a cherry-on-top of a good weapon. That's why it was never considered in stat calculation. 5% proc isn't a reliable dmg source.
Lvl 36-40 (ilvl 44-46) should not be better than ilvl 66. Period.
With stat balance you forget about: Casters, ranges and off-hand weapons.
BW don't care higher DPS or 5% proc to deal additional 525 dmg over 9 sec (229 in real case)
BW Care about +int where he get more DMG in summary from all skills combined, then that one 5% proc chance ever provide. It should not be even an option, to consider some Besieged tree branch vs Fortress ilvl66.
Now you've made it possible and even encourage to it.
I've tested across multiple characters swapping weapons between besiege and fortress.
In terms of DPS/DMG > Diffrence was in statistically error of crit rate.
Have any of you even tested it out? How this change will play out? It seems that you have not. I understand, no time for it. So at least let us test it before releasing something, that removes high tier weapons from the game in stat/wise consideration.
What's going to be next? Ah yiz. Item sets/gear. Does it mean Warlord/Sov gonna be nerfed too? If so, im gonna simply stop playing, because there is no goals to achive.

Re: Patch Notes 03/04/2026
I dont mind the flattening of the gear growth as long as this means more gear in the future. Ill assume cost relations to older gear will be reduced.
This will be good for newer players or just leveling up new characters.
As far as older players, we definitely need new gear goals.
