AP Pots Saver

Good afternoon, fellow players.

The truth is, I’ve made the mod obviously with AI assistance, because I only know a little programming, although I do know some.

For a long time now I’ve had problems managing AP pots in combat. I sometimes use them by mistake when I shouldn’t: old, big, arthritic fingers are not ideal for gaming anymore (we’re not 16 years old anymore... ), and sometimes I accidentally press the AP potion buttons when I shouldn’t. That not only wastes the potion, but also triggers a GCD that could have been used for something else.

That is why, using the excellent GCD Saver as inspiration and as a base, I made this addon, which blocks the use of certain action bar buttons slots when the player’s AP is above or below a specified amount. So, if you place AP potions in that slot and set it to block their use unless you are below a certain AP threshold, you can avoid accidental key presses.

AP Pots Saver

Based on: GCDSaver

What does this addon do?
APPotsSaver prevents action bar button from being used when you have more Action Points (AP) than a configured threshold.

Main use:
  • It blocks the selected action bar button if you have more than a certain amount of Action Points.
How does it work?
The selected action bar button is blocked if your current AP is higher than the configured value

Examples:
  • >30AP → blocked at 31+ AP
  • >100AP → blocked above 100 AP
  • =0AP → only usable at 0 AP

How to configure
  • Add the potions bar to action bar button slots
  • Ctrl + Click to increase, in steps of 10, the amount of AP required to block the slot, up to a maximum of 200.
Cycles through:
  • No limit → 0 → 10 → 20 → 30 → ... → 200 → No limit
Visual indicator
Each ability shows:
  • >XAP → blocked above X AP
  • =0AP → only usable at 0 AP
  • No text → no restriction
Compatibility
  • Compatible with standard action bars
  • Can be used alongside GCDSaver (uses Ctrl instead of Shift) and Sequencer
Command

Code: Select all

/appotssaver
I hope you like it!!!

Please, if you donwload it give me your feedback about it!

Its no more egregious than gcd saver.

What NB let you do and what I did was every single button on my hotbar pretty much was a NB string. This is how you abused it, not using it to do your rotation for you. So you could add a conditional to every single button to use AP pot if you didnt have enough AP, or if you had AP and hit a CC ability on accident on an immune target it would instead fire a different ability.

Thats the difference between NB and GCD saver, GCD saver just stops you from using an ability, it isnt choosing the next best option automatically when you mess up.
