I don't usually go for any kind of unwarranted sarcasm, and I gather that the OP is a player who hasn't played in a while and is not aware of the present "climate" in the game, and it is only normal that he/she should ask, but:

The fact that this thread hasn't gotten any response since yesterday and the one its got is full of irony is a testament to an ever growing sentiment among many people in the game community.

Many players have been putting up with this monstrosity for years now, and the latest melee dps patch, although it has been quite good overall and shows that the devs are constantly working to improve the game, imho not only hasn't remedied the situation but it has added to the outrageous stupidity of def regen WE godmode status.

Lately, just prior to the latest patch, in ingame chat and private conversations, I've been able to gauge the irrepressible hope of many people that WE would be back in its role of squishy but uber deadly dps instead of this tank-healer-stealth jail free abomination.

Alas, nothing has happened in that regard.

I think we are all happy that stealthers have better AoE options now, and that the voice of the community has been heard concerning, for example, WLs dominance (although maybe not satisfactorily for all parties involved, but that's another topic and I understand it is almost impossible to please everyone), etc.

All in all a great patch, and the devs have put a lot of work in it and I'm grateful. But this dark spot remains, like a black hole that saps a great deal of enthusiasm and motivation for a not negligible part of the community.
Disappointment is inevitable, I guess.
