Hello! new to the game!

Hey guys! first of all its a pleasure to meet you all and be a newbie in a game.

I am 35 y.o and not a hardcore mmo gamer.

So i see that destro is in need of players so i join them but after a little play as sorc i didnt like it so much.
Which class you guys think is the best to "understand" the game? and where can i find information about game mechanics?

Hey, welcome. If you want my opinion on the best classes to learn the game, it's probably ranged dps (Destro: Magus, Sorc you tried, Squig Herder; Order: Engineer, Shadow Warrior, Bright Wizard is like Sorc) or do a healer (Zealot and Runepriest are most straight forward).


Being away from the blob will give you a good and safer feel to learning the mechanics and general flow of RvR.

For information, you can check the wiki or try to find a few guides strewn about the forums. Probably the most important thing is to grab some essential addons (VinyUI is a good place to start).

I think anything but melee dps would be good. Healers and ranged dps sit further away and don't need to be babysat to survive. Tanks don't die as fast and can be effective just guarding, challenging, punting, and assisting.

No matter what you choose, my advice is to do the weekly RvR event. There's a guy with a big red circle above his head in the T1 Chaos warcamp. The easy 60 gold will make life much easier at the start, though in later weeks you might want to choose crests or renown potion.

Also, if you don't already know about it, the "War Report" will teleport you to the RvR action. It only has a 20 minute cooldown so you can go there right away at lvl 1.
