Overflow WBs: Play, Don’t Police

Overflow warbands are a place for loose, random players and classes to gather up and share RR, XP, and whatever else comes along. You’ll run into all kinds of overflows and overflow leaders. Some will resemble a half baked organized WB and hey, that’s fine! while others will just be a pile of folks running together.

Don’t join an overflow expecting it to suddenly turn into an organized WB. Don’t jump in and start demanding class shuffles, kicks, or “fixes” so that the “right” setup can join. That’s not what overflows are for. They’re simply a catch all so people don’t get left out, and they serve their purpose just by existing. For the most part tanks and healers will be moved. If that's not good enough, leave.

Right on. Had some guy wanting to kick the 2 WEs in an open, overflow WB.

If you want an org or autoband one, create it yourself.

People have to be a special type of numbskull to try and be directors/tryhards of one of the most relaxed and free flowing type of warbands.

Remember, most leaders use Autoband because the micromanagement and organization of 24 players is literally impossible for them to fathom. Asking for anything besides running in circles and engaging from your mount with 0 morale and then dying instantly and hitting respawn is honestly insane.

To be fair, if a leader does care about wb setup, WE is indeed an excellent candidat for kick since its barely better than no player at all.

I agree with the OP. However...

Witch Elf players shouldn't worry about joining a warband. Not because they are ineffective in warbands, but rather because WE's don't need a warband to be effective. Run Solo. Or join with a couple of other WE's or a balanced six man group. Beyond that, let the warbands do their thing and you can clean up the mess they leave behind.

It's an open WB...

WE is just the latest example. Ive been in some that had no healers (or only a couple) or really dps heavy, or even healer heavy, and have some wanting to kick those players to make the WB more "optimized".

Overflow, open WBs are free for all. If you're unhappy with that, then nothing stopping you making your own.

It's free for all unless WB leader thinks otherwise. If said leader kicks you - well, make your own wb then since it's up to leader to decide wb's rules.
