SM never hit pec tic like that but as i said its not about only dmg. Chosen buffs : D Withering blow dot hits over 1k easily and its core. Is resis buff/Debuff bugged, i think i had 150resis on my chosen and 75 resis debuff on the aura : D Oppression gives like 400 armour maybe remove shield need for it now? I dont know what is happening in RoR but these armour amount nerfs im a bit worried. Why nerf instead of buffing wh/we to 150 iniative debuff??? They cant be defined as "Aoe buffs" lol. Also everyone here who keeps crying about def We, go away lol.
If there is UNIVERSAL buffs, Armour amounts like +750 armour on universal set, its same for light armour/med/heavy armour, or it should be the same. There doesnt exist Resis Buffs in Sets but if tanks had +75 resistances as 5pc sovereign set bonus everyone would be wtf is this? But no one cares that there is 380 or so armour buff on sove/warlord in light armour sets...

What is the difference in % dmg with an effective loss of 60 resis? Take that +% increase and weigh that vs the reduction in dmg from Blastwave's Wave, Relentless ticks etc. and you will probably be somewhere near my guess. Also, the new bubbles will eat up that small increase.
Most people are around 430 resists before buffs and debuffs, so assuming 9 points in Chosen/KOTBS resist (de)buffs then
- currently: 430 +164 resists = 594 = 35.4% dmg mitigation --> you take 64.6% damage from non-physical attacks
Damage increase due to this change = 68.2/64.6 = 5.6% damage increase for non-physical attacks
- with the proposed patch changes: 430 +104 resists = 534 = 31.8% dmg mitigation --> you take 68.2% damage from non-physical attacks
My point was that even though the enemy is ~6% more susceptible doesn't translate into +6% more damage for Chosen. The new dot ticks will get eaten up by more absorb bubbles. I have yet to see a final tick on Relentess due to the changes in channeled abilities vs live. Will also be nice to have a closer mirror to the Order magic tank in terms of damage (would guess SMs damage will still be greater than Chosen post patch regardless).

Your instincts are correct though. There has been armor nerfs and now resistance nerfs but the overall goal is a balanced TTK?
The TTK is even lower now since you will get to execution range (~30% faster) due to the reduction in defense. Heck, welcome to the era of flame arrow-> fester arrow -> Fell the Weak... next =)

How about returning Mighty Soul to Kotbs? Destroy confidence core so Mighty soul can take its place and runefang to 240/240/240 str ws ini and core tactic back.

First picture is kotbs doing 2700dmg with Destroy Confidence tactic/65ft Shatter=) Below is link to original kotbs/chosen. Swordmaster has always been THE magic dmg tank. But Kotbs were the second and chosen close third in this regard. Kotbs is the only class that has Shatter not as core skill, but glory path. Because of Mighty Soul obviously. This was unique, awesome and no one complained, and i played heal shammy live as well so i know what kotbs could do. Also Right spec for 2h Sm/Kotbs and dps Dok had close to no chance in 1v1. Same for Chosen against Dps Wp.

You're missing the greater picture. The only destro 2H tank that should rival SM 2H dps is the 2H BO.
The Runefang nerf was not a great decision, but the KOTBS back then was like the WL today, no reason to play another Tank class. That doesn't mean we should be nerf requesting the 'mirror' but instead seeking buffs to make the classes more enjoyable again.

TBH this buff to myrmidas fury isn't bad, although i still think kotbs could benefit from an armor shred ability like the rest of the phys based tanks, since the elemental damage part contribution is limited to mostly blazing blade dot and a few other minor dot effects.
Maybe path of glory abilities could provide more elemental damage to mimick the old Mighty soul yet not be as powerful.

Chosen does 2k on last tic to dummys and 1.3-1.4k on construct, taunt focused offense cap str and 50% crit and 300ish toughness full vic with 2 sov, SM etherdance same stats 1.1k each tic to construct and 1.3k on dummy, barely any tank rolls like this. I remember BO doing more with KD and THC against unarmored same as IBs dots and crits.
sounds cool and there will be situations that will be surprising but dont think it will be overpowered, still can be parried, canceled, needs to crit to be significant, and needs the conditional of using those 3 auras to do that so you will be even weaker against range, gotta play more with aura swap now which is interesting. Also Still not enough powerful to go through guard, challenge and detaunt.
Also Taunt has been kinda broken for some time, at least for chosen, just doesnt do anything sometimes and not appear in buffhead happens like 30% of the time.
