As usual any talk about fixing scenarios gets derailed by the "pro" 2-2-2 people that play for hours and hours per day together in their 6 man grps. The competitive player.
Many of us have jobs. We have kids to cook for. Laundry to do and fold and put away. And many many more things. We play an hour or two at most at a time in between chores. I play an hour or two each day before work and house chores. You know ... play a game to chill relax and have maybe some fun. The relaxed player.
As usual the competitive players want the game centered on them. Anything that benefits their 2-2-2 is good. Even if it is choking the game.

Why do you feel the game should be balanced around those people who have 6 jobs, 12 kids and endless household chores that prohibits them from playing the game anyway? Compared to people that actually spend time playing the game, and play it in a way that the fundamental design of the game encourages?

And i will second this. There is no need in possibility to solo q, nor SCs, nor e.g. cities. Group content, very demanding and requires efforts to everyone to have joy.Nameless wrote: Mon Sep 01, 2025 2:38 pm I would say the opposite remove solo queu at all and add group queu for 2/4/6. That will promote grouping and will naturally push more balanced matchups
It literally lays out ideally into group promoting play. Also it will make them actually fun. Because its no fun if you have people who are not able to properly participate

tl;dr im one of those lazy daddies who cant play, and i do understand that promotion needs to be done into grouping up. yet. still. whatever.

What is choking a game indeed is that mentality of doing no efforts, not learning mechanics, not playing a game properly (would you blame pro elitists chess players for playing that great and thus creating a toxic mentality in their tournaments? no you will not. here is no different), dont bother to be a bit social and list goes on and on.
This game havent ever been designed in a way where its "modern alike MMO, which is mostly PvE" and solo friendly. It has never ever been solo friendly. Actually solo gameplay was done in AoR/RoR as playing on an edges for toptier players, who knows the drill. That was and is a challenge. Not a chore
If one so called self (falsely) proclaimed "casual" despises that, ignores that and want to bendover whole game design into its "casual" (falsely of course) demands - thats the issue, thats the problem and that has nothing to do with a game. Would you dictate your own rules on chess tournament? I doubt
Especially what pisses me off completely, that its like 9999999999999999 thread of the same thing where this is discussed and the issue is in direct connection with GROUP CONTENT - SCs... i literally have no words, there are even no significant rewards in those scs, but people still want it all mentality...
Re: Scenarios (rebirth or return to popularity)
Minimum 2 man queu req imo is quite casual, you can do it without much effort. If it is mandatory more ppl will use lfg channels to forms duos that will do better that random solo queu.
Nowadays lfg channels are used mainly for pve cos solo play / zerg surfing is so profitable that no need to group at all

Re: Scenarios (rebirth or return to popularity)
Why not just have solo only SCs and group only SCs? Seems pretty simple.
Then both dads and lifers get what they want.

Re: Scenarios (rebirth or return to popularity)
OH BOY are you wrong. Been playing this game since 2009 and let me tell you, there was as much chance of having fun as a casual on live AND as a solo player as there was being in a group. It is only here on RoR where casual solo players are looked down on and punished. And no, solo was not a privilege of top tier players. Anyone could have fun soloing when the game came out. I ranked a WE and a DoK to 100 soloing.nocturnalguest wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 3:56 pm Here are breaking your logic facts

Let me tell you something. Group play is easy mode. Always has been. Always will be. ESPECIALLY on RoR. Healing is overpowered. Guard is overpowered. NONE...and I say again ... NONE of the prime 6 man groups on ROR would last a day on live. You would all rage quit because of how hard it was. Solo players do more with way less than you could ever dream or deal with.
And I have played in groups. After a month I got bored. Knowing you will win 99% of the time because the game will match you against undergeared solo players ... IS BORING!!! But sadly, the game is so structured that I have to keep playing in a group. But to my dying day I refuse to join any group of the same six "perfectly geared, perfectly specced" people day after day. Been there done that and yes ... it is boring. Random players forming a 6 man for an hour or two is just fine.
Lastly ... how special are you that feel that someone with a job and responsibilities should not be allowed to enjoy an mmo AND that you demand that it be made harder? Six randomly geared, random renown ranked people in a 2-2-2 will still lose against the super pro group. How much more do you want? No one wants the game to bend over. All people are asking is that it goes back to the way it was. Spawn guards, and no barriers. Just like on live!!!

Morradin 100% Fakts! Praise hail=) RoR is more like "Warhammer Kart Team Racing Time Trial"
