Replayability PvP needs direct and full focus

Hello,

As a followup push to my last attempt before I quit RoR last year (see link below with the public vote). I did return to see the new modernized Lost Vale dungeon, and I was truely impressed with the quality of PvE content this dungeon included from mechanics, to hardmode achivements. Bravo!
But....

Isnt it about time that the replayability of the main play-loops are getting the massive and real focus they desperately need(?)
RvR is the bread and butter of RoR, the 2021 PR video was strongly including Largescale clips to showcase the fantastic and close to unmatched performance RoR can deliver for largescale battles on the MMO market. With sentences such as "no P2W. ever!" and other big selling points, it made it a fantastic promotional piece to draw players in from all over the MMO genre.

But if the RoR team back then knew what product they hold, which sellingpoints to use for adverticement, and what advantages your game & server has. Why not lean in much heavier on the advantages for a server direction.

Let me spell it out from a guest's point of view on your server over the last many years.
Ranked was attempted, and given SoooOoo many lifeline attempts of ressurecting and keeping it alive. Even to the point of breaking the main theme of the game by allowing Order killing Order in this competitive gamemode. Despite players from level1 learn that they are on Faction A and the whole game is dessigned around them fighting Faction B. That is a drastic move, to try and keep a gamemode alive no matter if a player agrees or disagrees with this fundamental change.

Massive RoR product pushes like the Dueling Arena was mentioned in an MMORG article with the wording sounding something like this:
"This piece of content is gamebreaking and brand new opening up new doors"
Because it was the first homemade built zone with reused accets to create landscape that wasnt origianally in the Live game.
But this place was shipped and then left in the dust. The issues the Dueling faced in the code, with Guard, healing and pvp effects not working killed this content in a state of neglection. It could had been the place where community held 6v6, 1v1, or 24v24 events could had unfolded. Instead we have Realmwatch footage of Chaoswaste being the perfered zone for such fights.

The other big RoR-only product was the release of the two new roleplay cities. MASSIVE CV and personal checkmarks of satisfaction and an impressive feed! But it added close to no replayability to the server, to the player loop. And apart from a couple of quest-forced attempts to bring players back in there these places are pretty empty and pointless. But the manpower and hours invested must have been massive!

LOTD modernization pvpmode was a good choice to not have more Ruin dropping lvl 32 Public quests and instead making this a weekly realm-war gamemode.
But we also heard about a LOTD part 2. Any news? Will it be pvp, or mostly pve with minitombs, tovl and collosus?

My point Im trying to make here, is that there is passion and countless hours put into this project.
and when you guys hit the nail on the head, its actually really really good! Yeah theres been some swings & misses. But lets look at the latests Pve addition with Lost Vale. This is a top tier dungeon experience with fairly good quality of difficulty, and especially the option of doing an encounter on hardmode is a brilliant idea and implimentation!

But now that we have seen what you can do when you create. We have seen your top performance with content, we have seen your ideas and understanding of how the game and playerbehaviour works. Latest example of the Battleobjective buffs. It is very obvious that you do understand the important of playerkills, to the community. We see, that you understand what drive the players. All we are asking. No. Begging for! is that the same sharp focus and passion is finally added to the main replay loops of RvR and normal scenarios.

And I think most of us understand that its too easy for us to just scream into the void "improve it, now!" without exactly providing the ideas or direct suggestions of how to get there.

So here is my feedback.
Please RoR team. Can we together take the approach of attempting to focus on the main two PvP modes for the next big push?
The coders and idea makers focusing all together on RvR/SC. And the community giving ideas, polls about what we like/dislike and then together push the main replay loops out of neglection state.

Is this something the RoR team would be up for? Is this something the community would be willing to assist with?
Heres the public vote I did last time I was active. The numbers speak for themselves we enjoy Dungeons and balancing, but what RoR really needs is RvR and SC focus. And we needed it yesterday!

Ping me when Battleobjectives are becoming meaningful to the oRvR game as an incentive & tool to spread out the players and the action.

I have the same feeling lately and spoke about a relatively similar matter with my buddy.

Seeing those grand PvE overhauls and new dungeons is really awesome at first glance, but after 3 weeks we see all those new shiny armors and weapons and such, but someone who isn't that interested in PvE dungeons gets nothing. Especially that new Chosen cape looks way too good for how you get it. I see it and think, "Man, that should have been an RR 90-style item."

I've run around with the same armor for years now, and only PvE players constantly get new stuff. That doesn't mean that I don't want them to have it, and I'm all in for more awesome PvE content, even if I'm not that much of a PvE player, but I also really wish that the PvP aspect of the game would get the same treatment.

RvR desperately needs something new, something fresh. It is no wonder that the number of good warband leaders dwindles because no human in the right mind can play the same stuff without change for years and years and years. It shouldn't be that hard to give at least some cool style items for really high-ranked players so that those PvP players get at least something to play for.

As i see the things some ppl that are involved to the main game modes are not so involved any more. May be real life, may be burn out. It ddiestn matter and noone could blame them for not spare more of their free time. But the end results is slow and far apart changes. Everything beside pve related stuff is much or less on hold

That how the things feels so i dont have big hopes for some more drastic changes soon enough

Just getting rid of ranked would make me happy. The sorry state of scenarios is directly related to the steaming pile that is ranked.
