You can change AB to what ever you want if you customize it...

I wanted to help show everyone else how to disable autokick for Autoband.

Type:

Code: Select all

Then type:

Code: Select all

/ab ak
Autokick should now be set to false:

This is what I have for my GUI settings:

Warning: If your a new player in T1 (CR1-CR15), then in the "Config" page, change "Rank Requirement" to 1, otherwise you will kick out everyone who isnt lvl 16+!

I think Autoband is useful to try as best as possible to auto-organize warbands to 2/2/2 and to alert local chat channel that there's a PUG available, but for people leading a PUG warband the autokick feature can be problematic due to the controversial risk of angering some players who just want to join a casual PUG but can't because their class doesn't perfectly fit the 2/2/2 comp for that warband.

I would rather prefer a PUG warband be full, then not be full (or annoyingly half-full) due to autokicking PUG players with unwanted class archetypes according to the Autoband algorithm.

I have found both in-game and on these forums people repeatedly have had some bad experiences intentionally or unintentionally with this addon's autokick feature causing unnecessary burnt bridges due to not being able to join the PUG warband (people purposely ignoring you or friending you to avoid your warband in the future).

With the game's small population, I think this should be avoided and hopefully this post will help.

One half is proper configuration, the other half is human decency. There were repeated complaints that some PUG warband leaders kick people, even if they ran for hours with them that day already (to make space for their guild members or friends).

Unless that attitude changes, even the best configuration won't help. A PUG is a PUG. If you want it to be something else than that, don't label it as a PUG, simple as that.

Thanks for the info! Autoband autokick can be super annoying when you're just trying to test stuff. Appreciate the clear steps 🙌

Hey!

Just wanted to say the latest version of AutoBand has all autokick-functionality off per default, except the Autokick of people in Scenarios.
