Howdy.
I've been lurking for answers to no avail, about this yellow progress bar over the minimap: I read the description saying "this bar represents the winning and losing victory point pool. victory point pools affect the amount of reward [..]" - basically what's victory point pool, how do we earn it, and what determines its increasing and decreasing percentages?
For example, if I'm a destro player, from our perspective of view (POV) do we have to try making it towards 100%, or should we reduce it towards 0%? I'm a bit confused with this, of what it really does, what's the goal of this, and what should I do in the teamwork in order to contribute to this progress bar? Sometimes this bar goes up and down, as shown on pictures, I've seen this bar within the same war session, that it was at 100%, then went down to 84% then it went up again 100%, and so on... so basically this is where my confusion comes from, of what determines its movement, and what's the goal here?

Re: Yellow progress bar over minimap in RVR T2+ zones
Since the war is vast and not within my exclusive control i do not pay any attention to this part of the ui. So it wouldn't matter if i get 1 kill or 10. If we are overall still being beaten in rvr, then the few kills i get aren't going to affect it that much. I just focus on trying to stay alive and holding any battle objectives that i can. Sorry if this is not the answer that you want but it's how i view things.

I always envy you people who just sees things with such simplicity I don't know you, but when I play for example board games, I love to know the rules, otherwise I don't know what the heck I'm doing, am I not right? xD

One important point to consider: while it's true that you don't exclusively control the war, your contributions collectively make a significant impact. If everyone thought this way, there wouldn't be much of a war at all—people would just AFK at war camps instead! Active participation is what keeps the conflict dynamic and engaging.
...anyways, I've found the answer (I think?)

- Reward calculations for Zone Locks and keeps have been updated. Instead of being a hidden value, the zone now has a % value displayed in the victory points UI element. This bar is filled by killing players in the zone and is based on the last hour, as well as historical population. This means it should now be relatively the same difficulty for high and low population times to gain max rewards. (Previously, lower population times had a much harder time earning max rewards.) The reward is then also divided by your contribution (which remains the only "hidden" value).
The value of a zone is (with max contribution and filled victory points bar):
80 000 XP
20 000 Renown
4000 Influence
60 crests.
If you lose a zone, the reward is halved. These values were the theoretical max prior to any change.
Re: Yellow progress bar over minimap in RVR T2+ zones
the quote from silens thats from patch notes is correct.
That is more % in bar = more rewards.
Kills in zone = more %
That is more % in bar = more rewards.
Kills in zone = more %
