Murder Wood part two Inspect the foul rune

Hello,
I didn't know where to place his. I am having a problem with the Quest Murder Wood quest, I'm supposed to interact with a foul rune, looking for a foul source. I find the Herdstone, and it's clickable, but when I right click on it nothing happens.

Same. I want to complete this quest but clicking the herdstone does nothing. Guess ill move on.

If you click the quest notes it mentions that it's by the lakes edge. Looks like a small purple thing, iirc, sorta behind a rock.
