Dear Gilgam,
i think we have no issues here, we kill each other from time to time, 1v1 your build is awesome, GG, otherwise not related to topic.

You have never lectured me about anything, like this chosen did, after killing a lvl 11 not bolstered player 3v1, telling me bicska dont kill a level 21 because it is your fault that the server will die of no population.
Sorry, I forgot to turn off the ironic mode.

*Ironic mode off*, there you go. ;)

When those solos won't attack, when you are busy fighting others! That's not going to happen, therefore all are free to kill, no matter the rank or numbers.
Dying is no option.

If I get killed by a bigger group, roaming alone or in a duo, I try to remember that on the other side sits a human being just like me, who doesn't (probably) think, "Oh man! We killed these noobs! Such losers! Couldn't kill our group! We totally pwnt them!".

It's a game where you get things for killing other players. They won't even remember your name, so it's really nothing personal why they killed you in a bigger group. If you run alone, you're a running little loot box for bigger groups, not an individual human being with a whole life story and all feelings attached to it. So I don't feel hate for them. In real life, we would probably get along well; in the end, we all play an old, odd game in the Warhammer universe. Good ground for nice conversations.

These are fine rules to get along, but it's certainly better to remember that we are all just people in the end. You will get killed unfairly even if you, as a person, follow these rules.
Don't get bitter; respawn, try again, die, and do it all over again. Play the game fully aware that you will die a lot and it doesn't really hurt you. Then you will have a lot more fun and don't think about what others may think about killing you. Because they most likely think the same as the last time you killed a smaller group or a single person.
Nothing personally in particular.

PS: I once met someone casually, in real life, who played the game and instantly liked him without knowing what class he played, which faction, etc.

I completely disagree.

Solo players who refuse to group up in an MMO and purely play solo should get farmed everyday and every possible moment . Zerg them down 50 to 1

Great post

It's considered bad form to interrupt others when they're having a 1v1, but beyond that RvR is a total free-for-all.

It's important to have a thick skin and a lot of patience when solo roaming as you're always gonna be the smallest fish in a big pond.

The players who would cry about being killed in an orvr area by another faction, low level or not. Are players that would never stick around in the first place because its not a game for them.

I'd argue it's probably very much different. More similar to the group saying: "Oh man, that poor guy, didn't stand a chance! *laughter* Sucks for him, we've all been there." Then they move on.

As for the whole topic at hand (despite delightful tongue-in-cheek tone) I have no issue with anyone killing me anywhere they can, this game is meant to be played to kill. Do I hope to 1v1 people in the lakes sometimes? Sure. Have I had been interrupted and interrupted others when they were doing the same? Abso-freakin-lutely. Sometimes you get surprise reinforcements and the add-ons get crushed, other times you just get run over, and sometimes you get a fun little duel that takes way too long because solo'ers tend to build for survival.

While this post is intended as sarcastic, I do see a merit in some codex of honour, like not attacking lowbies or melee engaged in 1 vs 1

Unless we have AAO, the player is a goblin or I'm in a group, then all bets are off.

Took me a while to realise that it's written "liked him" not "killed him"...

Yeah I think in the context of a private server like this, where devs don't have the time to completely build out systems that encourage conducive behaivours, the players' "social etiquette" is quite important to keeping things healthy. Like guilds switching sides to try and balance pop in the lakes, that sort of stuff.

Killing sub 40s used to yield virtually no renown, but a patch a while ago changed that, which was kind of a shame imo, because it used to be there was little incentive to run them down.
