Seriously, engi is the most F***ed up class in the game and you still toss out nerfs to it ...

You can manage to play the game with one button by using sequencer? :)

New players don't have to know everything about add-ons right at the start but they should be guided towards exploring the available add-ons via in-game tutorials.
Btw, it's already not fair as a new player to engage in pvp with anyone experienced, therefore it is never fair in pvp, no matter the tier.
A lack of add-ons is only a symptom of lacking knowledge about what the game offers UI-wise.
Why remove add-ons, when someone doesn't know about them?
Ranged dps characters using such attachments are difficult to counter.
- The ability to use passive abilities instantly (e.g. Sever Blessing),
- Use of skills from behind, (e.g. knocking WE/WH...), use of skills with immediate effect on strikes

Let me give you an example. In Sorc or BW, if you stack 4 abilities on 1 button, you can deal damage to the other side as fast as possible with one button.

I won't drag this out too much, I talked to GMs about the nerfedbutton at the time. They didn't listen to me, after a while I looked and they removed it. We should not forget that there are T2/T3 players in RvR. I know! There are those who play by stacking skills on 4 buttons. It's up to them, I don't care much.

As for me, I have videos on YouTube. You can already see how I play from there. I don't use it!

@dalen so what is the expected timeline btw the first patch (that isn’t 1.4.8) and the following balance patch?

My guess is that they will give everyone Two Weeks™ to cry about how they were unfairly nerfed before releasing the next patch.

who thought it would be a great idea to remove engies turret effects? You know that this class sucks at being standalone dps and in the same time its freaking clunky as hell...the only possible way to avoid atleast the clunkiness, is the grenadier build(the bomb turret)... but now the intention is to remove such possibility, meaning the class is going to be unplayable for sc(or just generally any situation in that kiting is the only way to survive and making dmg)...like... i (maybe) get the idea but its not a tower defense game, ppl are manouvering around etc. you know and in that case it was never easy for engies...

I can already imagine playing ranged dps after the patch:

You hit melee dps for 0 damage (-300 tough)(-400 guard)(-10 laughed off)
Your Centuries of Training hits melee dps for 40 (-80 tough)(come on, 40 is pretty good for centuries of training)
Melee dps self heals for 40 (+300 overhealed)
Your targeted healer is out of range (65ft is enough, right)
You hit tank for 0 damage (block)(evaded)(disrupted)(-800 tough)(-10 shrugged off)
Your are pulled into the middle of the melee train (here it comes)
You use self knock back to escape (lol, nice try)
Your are knocked down (self knock back cancelled, hold still)
You are disabled
Melee dps critically hits you for 1500 (+in your face)(+roflmao)
Melee dps left hand critically hits you for 800 (+lolz)
Melee dps hits you with proc for 340 (+take that)
Melee dps hits you with another proc for 420 (+I love that)
Melee dps hits you with yet another proc for 250 (+One more)
Melee dps moral hits you and everything around you for 2500 damage (0 mitigated my friend)
You are snared
Tank critically hits you for 1200 with mighty three hit combo
Tank hits you with proc (yet another one)
Tank critically hits you for 1100 with mighty three hit combo
Tank hits you with another proc (because why not)
Tank hits you with yet another proc (eat it)
Tank critically hits you for 1300 with mighty three hit combo
You can't move
You die (why do you even play ranged dps *facepalm*)

Not much different to now but who thought that it would get worse?

Why? Mara has like 14 abilities after the patch (1 more) that work with Piercing Bite tactic, including a strong finisher. WL has 2.
