Thanks, it's good that this is so, but such a big mess between the stats window and .getstats command is not normal or not correct

It's almost as if there's nearly 800 ability bugs on the tracker and there's an entire re-write of the ability system going on to get the client and server properly in sync in the future.Battlefield wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:11 am Thanks, it's good that this is so, but such a big mess between the stats window and .getstats command is not normal or not correct

Classes and their abilities and everything related to combat between players should be a priority....because this is not WoW !Omegus wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 1:07 pmIt's almost as if there's nearly 800 ability bugs on the tracker and there's an entire re-write of the ability system going on to get the client and server properly in sync in the future.Battlefield wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:11 am Thanks, it's good that this is so, but such a big mess between the stats window and .getstats command is not normal or not correct
I've been playing since the start of this project and I'm coming here for pvp and not for events quests and so on, can say RoR is almost MOBA.

I hope you don't think the people designing quests, live events, and so on, have anything to do with coding the ability system and game balance?Battlefield wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:32 pmClasses and their abilities and everything related to combat between players should be a priority....because this is not WoW !

If you've been playing since the start of the project then you have witnessed 7-8 years of partly documented class changes, accumulated bugs that have not been fixed, inconsistant ideas about how things should work in general, random years of absolute dominance of certain classes, and an always present mismatch between what the server thinks should happen and what the client thinks should happen (some of this due to incomplete information about how the client works, including reverse engineering effort still going on to this day). The current rewrite is an attempt to solve these issues, including the discrepancies between what turned out to be a relatively minor tooltip/display bug.
As for what ROR/WAR "is", this game is the first and only Warhammer Fantasy MMO (there might've been a mobile thing that lasted a few months) which had absolutely huges amounts of PVE content, including the genre-changing Public Quests (which pretty much all had in-game cinematics which have yet to be replicated by the ROR team as it means recreating the cinematics from scratch) and the Tome of Knowledge which - if not the first - was certainly a milestone in MMOs providing a dedicated place for lore, unlocks, stats, etc. WAR was a lot of things to a lot of people, and not just PVP. You might come here for PVP, but the last time I checked ROR wasn't aiming to just be "the PVP bits of WAR".
Also, you got a bit upset about my "very minor" remark about the bug report on the tracker (which was in your response to being outranged about the bug occuring). I would hate to send you over the edge, but this is the kind of not-very-minor bug that has slipped through in the past: https://github.com/WarEmu/WarBugs/issues/20310 (25% chance to proc 4k damage - after mitigation - on every direct heal. And yes, group heals and the ritual has 6x 25% chance attempts to proc it on every cast/pulse).

Re: Why initiative debuffs from WH bullets stack?
I suppose because part of the old ROR team with experience left the project
Re: Why initiative debuffs from WH bullets stack?
I doubt this. Back then class patches broke unrelated things as well. Guess why it is being reworked currently.Battlefield wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:18 pm I suppose because part of the old ROR team with experience left the project
Dying is no option.

You suppose wrong.Battlefield wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:18 pm I suppose because part of the old ROR team with experience left the project
FYI the "old ROR team" (in reality a few specific people, some still on the team lol) are having their mess cleaned up by the ability system rewrite. The work being done now is to actually get something that functions properly and stays in sync with the client. A lot of why the client was out of sync was because the data files used by the client were not fully (or even partially) reverse engineered at the time, but that doesn't excuse all the other issues and if anything would mean they should've kept even tighter records on how they thought everything should be functioning.
Looking forward to the next salty comment.

Re: Why initiative debuffs from WH bullets stack?
of course they stack. SW has init debuff tactic and Wh has init debuff ability. Ability + tactic stack.
I smash things on Bolimor (WP)
I heal Peoplez on Mewanna Party (RP)
I guard the slayer on Igurd (SM)
I shootz arrows on Frigi Dare (SW)

That hasn't been true for a big part of ROR's existance. Wrist Slash's init debuff does not stack with ability-based init debuffs.grendel1892 wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2023 9:06 pm of course they stack. SW has init debuff tactic and Wh has init debuff ability. Ability + tactic stack.

ok checked with buddy. armor set debuff and ability debuff dont stack after all, only stronger one applies.
