Alright. What i did was to reinstall avast and then go to general settings, scroll down, find the exceptions tab and add the RoR file in there. If that doesn't work, disable avast every time you wanna play war or just install some different antiviruswender88 wrote:Yes..katroulitsa wrote:I used to have the same issue on my laptop for some reason. As for free software, Avira, F-Secure, Avast and AVG have the best marks in 2015 tests.wender88 wrote: Yeah, tried that and it worked for some days, but now its **** up again.

I haven't used an antivirus for 15 years, i never get any virus's. If i notice my computer getting slow, or getting errors, i just reformat. But i havent had any problems for years.

Re: What antivirus does ppl prefer?
As a sysadmin for a very long time, the tests the paid AV companies use are from the baseline that MS Security Essentials (Windows Defender for Win8 and higher) provides for free. The vast majority of situations they "test" against are for 0-day exploits which are exceedingly rare for end-users, and generally are targeted against specific business environments. Unless you're hosting a significant source of data with hundreds of vulnerable endpoints, you will likely never run into them.
Malwarebytes is nice. MSE does a fine job. Everything else that you might pay for is overkill to the nth degree. The best defense a user could possibly have is knowledge of where they may questionably click their mouse.

I quoted test results provided by Czech consumers association dTest. These tests are paid by subscribers.
MSE does not have great marks, but I'm actually using it in my office at the university, since it is the best as for using system (RAM, CPU). If you don't visit suspisicious sites and know, what are you downloading / installing / plugging to USB, MSE is just fine.
BTW, the best overall marks recieved Eset Smart Security 8.
