Hello everyone,
I'd like to find some more clarification regarding realm lockout - I know that cross realming has been an issue since the dawn of time, but I find that the realm lock doesn't actually get triggered in most of my play.
I try not to xrealm much, I will log onto one Realm for an evening and, unless I can't get into any SC / can't find any RvR, I won't switch over - In my time, I have only seen the realm lock happen to me twice.
What actually triggers the realm lock? I don't know if it needs to be significant, the hour or so could be enough - but, as an example, we got wiped today at Reikland keep on Destro, and within a minute of losing the fight, all three warbands disbanded and tons of people (most likely) switched to Order.
Shouldn't the realm lock have triggered for us? I didn't have it even though we had even just recently capped Praag.
Thanks!

Re: Realm lockout
As far as i know, lockout only triggers after switching faction and entering RvR. The lockout does not begin anew each day/login/etc.
So after your initial lockout (remember, this can be days ago) you can freely swap. After swapping and entering RvR, the lockout starts again.

Re: Realm lockout
The realm lockout triggers if you participate in RvR on one side and then switch to the other faction and participate in RvR there.
The lockout is for 90 minutes. So if you played more than that on your switched side, you will probably not notice it.
In my experience it only triggers in active RvR zones and not the ones that are locked (I might be wrong though).
I also believe you can freely switch between sides if you are only doing SCs.
