Is SH ST as good as SORC ST?

I mained a sorc on live and even on this server back in the day. I was wondering, with the state of the game right now if SH can compete with SORC on single target burst. I would also like to know the usefulness of each if you can be so inclined to impart your knowledge on me; it would be much appreciated.

Simple answer, no. rSH is **** and is regularly told to go meatball (melee aoe form).

rSH is very nice for sc and roaming but for city siege or warband play you should spec melee.
Dying is no option.

imo, very close..not sure who is better..would have to put them side by side...
