I realized that if the value of Toughness was hardcapped to that of the offensive stat, the damage would never underflow, so I assumed that this was the correct handling.
If I should be wrong, I'm sure Londo or Bruglir will be able to correct me.
And what's wrong with this? not a mystery that tank reducs a lot the damage, also skill + wep dps styll bypass all of this.
When both stats are overcapped, they negate each other so the damage got decided by skill damage + wep dps.......
You just make tank and def healers badder vs weak opponents that way.
just ask to understand cos if:
-tough negate only strenght/int ( so is useless stack toughness over an X value at some point cos you potentialy waste point /equip)
-strenght/int bypass tough and not viceversa this make a bad advanatge for dps but strengh should add damage and in fact there is a overcapp for this things (and for toughness too).
-Strenght negate only tough value and vice versa this make kinda useless stack both.
Cos alredy toughness it became less powerfull due to get apply before armor and resistence, this is just a senseless handicap for tanks/healers.
The only sensed and coherent solution it's make both over flow, remember that both increase and decrease damage before armor/ resistence reduction, also both influence the base value for crits. I dont get why i should not recive bonus from stats i had invested in.
The only conseguence is have my charcater recive more damage from weak opponents, this mean that if i have invested 20 renow point in tougness it's like i play with 20 renow less than a dps.
That's why i saw so much damage around. Strenght is qualitatively better than toughness atm.
Also no chance can be that way, what about BG? His tactic buff 45% of toughness and on official that tough value reduces dps ( we are speakc of 1400+ value of tougness vs 1100 of strengh/int.
