Yes, need to use 1 mastery point for a tactic that will use 1/4th of available tactics slots (where you basically need at least 2 mandatory slotted to make any build remotely viable), and need to lock himself into unwanted stance for 5s (being unable to use casts on the move, ranged aa and such out of skirmish stance), wasting one gcd each time you change stance, for a slower speed buff ?

While SH will not lose any dps (pet still hitting, no range limitations, double instacast finisher available at all time, etc.) and can do same with ONE BASELINE SKILL ?

Literally the same thing, indeed.
Way to compare oranges and bananas.
Just gonna list the negatives and misinformation and pretend that's a valid comparison? You have cast on the move abilities in more than 1 stance, switching between skirmish and scout stance every 5 seconds let you keep spamming abilities while moving while also letting you use all the good stuff from each stance every time they are off CD since most their CDs are longer than 5 seconds so not a huge deal. Switching stances does NOT use a GCD so that's just incorrect. Yes the speed is a lil lower but it's permanent if you keep it up, pretty obvious that's valuable in plenty of situations. And let's not forget on top of the speed boost that all your abilities are now 25% cheaper which = more damage over time. So yeah, not the same thing, but plenty nice in it's own way IMO. One of my favorite tactics in the game, ton of value for 1 slot IMO, and SH certainly can not "do the same" with ONE BASELINE SKILL.

@Foomy SH must also cast his pet for optimized "Stances". And the SH "stance" can be "killed".

That is not comparable at all.

Or give a "stances" that do heaps amount of damage to the enemy to the SW, then we can talk.

If you want to start comparing the SW to the SH:
- remove stance locked abilities, so that the whole panel of skills is available to the SW
- distribute evenly (with some variation for the fun of it) the number of escape mechanisms available to the SH on the SW
- fill the CC gap between SH and SW (including the ones bound to the pet). Starting by the omni-directional super punt and AoE cooldown increase.
- Give a 4th stance (SH have 4 pets)
- align morales

Then the talk would be on the damage differences, realm ability synergies, and usefulness in 6/24 RVR and Cities.

Other than that, you can hardly "only" compare specs efficiency.

Anyway, nice popcorn thread.

Squig herders are very overpowered. They need to be toned down about 40% and then they will be well balanced. There is just no justification for a squig herder to have and escape, 50% movement speed and cast 1s shots while on the move hitting from upwards of 1400dmg on a medium armored character. They needed a buff yes, but not this disgusting. At least make the whitelions stronger again if you're going to keep the SH this strong.

Can you provide evidence for your numbers?
