Anyone who argues against it, just wants to pug stomp plain and simple, which I find boring as hell on either the winning or losing end.
Basically quit queuing is the best option. If enough solo players stop feeding premade egos in scenarios then the devs will be forced to address it... like the did with the 1 pug scenario. In actuality should probably have 50% group only and 50% solo scenarios. Force people to fight on equal footing.

The main problem with that is what happens to groups of 3-6 people? It’s time people stop trying to play victim and just step up and admit that they are just looking to cruise the game on easy mode and accept the fact that not every facet of the game should be catered to their wishes.

No, this is what the nefarious, evil, pug stompers want you to do! When they can't find us poor glass cannon melee engineers they'll invade the ORvR lakes and start hunting us there as well! And the rewards in ORvR is much larger so it'll just feed their egos even more! Do you want them to be get 200% renown from killing you and invader/royals every zone lock? Or do you want to only give them 100% renown and a maximum of a useless oppressor emblem? You know what the right choice is. #DontEnterORvR2FeedTheTryHards

Scenarios just dont work in general. They only would work for everyone if every class could beat every other class in theory. Classes that are outside of meta just ask for better chance to earn rewards cause they often arent even invited and forced to play solo.

Vandoles wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2020 5:05 pm This issue is mostly with the specific scenarios. A premade can turn the game into a boring slog.

There's certain scenarios where it will be more fun.

I second the idea to have scenarios like Mourkain Temple/Isha as pug if weekend event, because otherwise it just becomes a boring chore, even if you form a premade from /5 it's likely you just get rolled and have to sit there and get bored. The idea of "lol just learn the game" is toxic as hell, because there's people who have been playing this for 8 years. Requiring casuals who want to have fun, even if they're willing to form a premade, to spend 8 years learning and gearing to get on the same level will result in the obvious no new players = death of the server eventually.
You can beat most "premades" in weekend event with /5. You just gotta build a decent composition and put in a little effort to win. You don't need to learn "8 years" the game in theory is relatively straightforward, it just requires people to TRY and not just passively win ****. The reason so many people complain about "try hards" is cause they just want to play a single player game but be able to feel like they are better than other people, this game is very casual friendly it just isn't stupid friendly.
I'm sorry but that's just false, it takes quite a while to get a group on /5 and even then you're highly limited because the more tryhard players already play with guilds. Even if you reject all the low rr SWs and WHs you get and somehow get lucky enough to happen on 2 tanks and 2 healers, you'll not get top tier healers for sure and you're basically holding out on the other premade having had less luck. I've tried multiple times and you still lose most of your matches even when you get lucky. When was the last time you tried a casual /5 group?

Typically if I broadcast on /5 I get PM’s from reputable people quickly. And to fight most ‘premades is it takes one healer, one tank, and two dps to get them to stop queueing after smashing them a few times. The secret to being successful with /5 is really simple even if it takes a little more effort: always use discord (it’s 2020 there’s no excuse to ever not be able to use it), keep a friends list of people who are passable, and commit to winning in practical way (as in understand your comp and win conditions). It takes about a total of 5 minutes ‘extra’ to be successful.

Also as someone who has a BiS WH and SW I’d say I’m pretty well versed in what does and doesn’t work for the class and most of it is way overblown by bad players who just don’t know what their role is or how to best achieve it.

Xarko wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2020 5:53 pm The best solution imo is to stop using single objective scenarios for weeknd events.
+1. Thunder mountain Is an example because it is big enough that it is hard for one side to totally dominate. Even if you lose it is more like 200-300 to 500 rather than 0-500.

Some of the other larger scenarios would do the same if 2 or 3 bos opened rather than a single opened.
primary IB 8X, EN8X, WP7X, SL7X, KOTBS6X, and a bunch of under rr60 toons on order and destro with other classes.

If YOU broadcast on /5. You use discord, keep friends lists and have multiple BiS characters. You think you're a good source of information on how a casual player would do?

A casual player can also have discord, a friends lists. The casual player can also have a decent stuff (not BiS but decent).

With low pop - sc works bad for solo, around prime time - better.

Without normal matchmaker rules - handmade organisation >> solo. With matchmaker - longer wait time. Wait is bad, wait is boring, easy fast win with no challenge is good, fun and what most of "competitive"\"organised"\"try hard" players wanted.
