Launching game freezes

Recently installed the game with no issues.

Running the launcher works ok but when I click connect I'm presented with the loading screen (shield/weapons) but then nothing else happens.

I'm not given an error message or anything, the screen just sits over any other window until I close it from processes.

I've given it plenty of time in case it was a loading issue but nothing.

Any ideas/fixes?

I've managed to resolve this and may help others

It was as simple as relocating my folder from my desktop elsewhere.

My desktop is treated as a network drive which apparently was preventing the game from launching.
