Change the color of General and off-topic Chats.

I think it's pretty clear that people prefer to Have discussions on Advice chat, which often leads to people complaining and talking over one another there, until GM responds and attempts to move people into the other chats with mixed succes. How about the color of the General and Off-topic chats be changed to something like yellow. This probably wont instantly make everyone switch over and never start talking over random stuff on advice, but should incentivize people to start using them more often, as they will stand out more like advice. And the whole "You can change the color yourself" argument is kinda dumb, when you consider that no matter how many times you gonna say that, it won't really change anything as nobody cares, or will bother doing it themselves. Sure . Right click on chat tab and choose Text color option, cause all those options are pretty personnal, as for showing or not a chan or another.

That will not be effective, to incentivize it to be used, it would have to have a more noticeable color by default

You're not a graphic designer, are you? Orange colour of /ad chat was chosen precisely for this: it's eye-catching, energetic and encourages discussion, which makes /ad alive and keeps response time minimum.

/6 offtopic default cold green picked up in RoR however makes sure discussions die out quickly. It's colour perception theory 101.
