NA: I admit I'm salty but thank you anyway

I joined the server over a month ago and have been getting reacquainted with this game I loved years back (was a BG back in retail). I have been trying out classes on both sides, and seeing what the communities are like as well. It has been enjoyable for the most part.

Tonight after capping Nordland (North America late evening), I went and checked to see if the lair was up. It was for once so I started up an open party, and began directing new players how to get there. While waiting on the last straggler, a BOrc-Shaman guild duo run up and snipe the mob. Fine; a bit weedy but that is the game works.

What I don't get is why laugh at us?

Obviously not a big thing for them, but it bummed some of us out. Can't say it is only the instance I've seen of this kind of thing either, and it has been more on the chaos side of things (but there are jerks on both sides - that is what ignore is for). Destro facerolls Tier 1 most evenings in NA, so playing Order will likely result in a lot of frustration as a healer going forward. But a thanks to you two tonight: you helped me get off the fence and make my decision.

Sounds like a total D bag move, however, please don't base your decision on a couple of goons from Tier 1. In the grand scheme of the game, Tier 1 is like <5% of the time you will spend on that toon. Get into the next tier lvl 16+, play with a Warband or small 6 man in ORvR/SCs. Join a guild and try to get into organized fights on each side and make your decision from there. There are D bags on both sides.

That type of behavior isn't isolated to just T1, over the weekend i had it happen while trying to get a group together for a Beastlord boss kill and as i was using lfg to find more (i had a partial group) a full group of destro from the same guild shows up to kill the boss (i am also on destro). No one came to scout it they knew it was up cause i was looking for more to do the boss.

Wasn't boss kills supposed to be most-dmg-win a long time ago? Enabling last-hit-win is nonsense on open world bosses. Thought we were done with it already.

@OP whoever did it are the typical assholes we deal with within the community but you also need to git gud. It will happen both sides.

Join a active guild that plays together and you wont be the guy staring at someone else doing stuff. Absolutley not approving the trolls but you can also learn from the lesson if you so choose.

I did last hitting while out of group to get double class-specific loot from T4 lairs multiple times in last 2 months
