I think you just dont get it. You think that no new Player will come to RoR after the whipe. But there will. and they will find Full Geared OP Players in SC and RvR until T2 will be out. SO You think it is Fair to let them be butchered over and over again in hope they just get the renown to put on a what? a lvl 9 Breast armor?

Seriously you just dont get what i mean with LvL9 Gear vendors

in another thread i suggested that there be vendors added so that people can buy comeptitive gear that they need and then go play the core of the game which is rvr however nalgol chimed in stating that their needs to be "gear progression" other wise people will lose interest and leave and then azareal also stated that there needs to be progression or you might as well play an arena

HOWEVER what we have right now isnt "real progression" gear progression is earned by laying RvR, killing players taking keeps, seiges etc rand insted right now we have progression based on luck i can farm enraged souls all day and only get 77 brass as my only drop but some other guy can come in and he would kill one and get a bloody shouldaspikes or some other great gear as a drop, same with lair bosses and the lover event monsters that why every one always comes with those high dps dmg classes because its based luck to get the last hit not like say....how much you contributed like in keep seiges and stuff with loot rolling

I had 600g and spent almost all most all of it buying new players gear off the ah and giving it to them for free but still everyday there are more and more new players who are asking for help with gear so that they dont get blow up instantly by all the twinks with their +10-12 jewels and their lover cloaks and stuff

and for all the people like "hurr durr skill > gear" no ok dont act like ger dosnt play a role ok this is a gear driven pvp and a lot of classes are very gear reliant there was a reason back on live that classes like SH need tyrants gear to be competitive in t4

then they will give away or sell the gear simple as that, what else do you think people will do when they have duplicate gear

What will happen if everyone would have the same quality of items? Nothing, this is testing phase. It is supposed to be fun and not a grind.

My opinion on this matters is that since this is an alpha phase, the game should be as much enjoyable for the MAJORITY as it can be. So more people can come and stay.

By this I mean, most of the items ( 80% ) should be easily and !! In a fun way !! obtainable by everyone, so they can enjoy playing the game. As far as I know there is not much to do than PvP, correct me if I am wrong, so what is the point of making new people's life hard by making them grind items for hours just to be viable in pvp later. That is a huge turn-away for the new.

Of course the best items should be farmed and not be purchaseable, but the current situation is : You have to grind your way from 0 to 100. Or you run around in your starter gear. Or quest-gear later.

Anyway all-in-all my viewpoint is, that this is alpha testing and the game's point should be fun and not money-making, farming, grinding, exploiting, calling each-other scrubs etc. since there will be wipes periodically anyway right?

EDIT : Actually I would make it like a PTR server in other MMOs, where everyone can obtain the best items immediately and just test stuff and have fun. But as I said there is nothing wrong in getting a bit better items than others by grinding or farming, but the current situation is not fun for new players I think.

EDIT #2 : BTW, the try-hard, I want to be better than others attitude of some people caused that exploit drama too right? Yeah, it was really useful. Clapclap

exactly whats the worst that could happen? right now were supposed to be testing the game not pretend like this is the real WAR and it would be much better to test all the classes for the devs if it was a level playing field for all classes, if people moan, whine and leave then so be it they will comeback with T2 or they are not real fans and will not be missed

I Only think on that. Fairer and more competing RvR and SC, means more Fun for all not just the High Gear players. Many Players loose the fun because they start here happy and then realize to be competive in RvR and SC they cant afford the gear. Wether for the Prices or that they dont want farm for hours and hours just in hope to get just ONE item. They are frustratet and quit the game.

Anyways what i wrote is just an Idea im no Dev so if they think its a good a idea they will think about it or not.

It was said many times that removing progress form the game is not a solution.
Pretty much always afk or tabbed out.

That is why I said that 20% of the items should be farmed as progression, but not 80%. I am well aware of the importance of progression, but there has to be a balance.
