Slayer is a bold choice, for your first character in warhammer or in an MMO. If you are easygoing and are ok with dying it's not a bad choice. Slayer is the most bad ass class in the game and nothing really compares to the best moments on a slayer.

If you get frustrated easily you might want to try something else first.

If you are asking how to target, you have a lot to learn and will have to get a lot of that experience from just playing. My only advice would be to learn when to hold and when to push.

yeah i don't get frustrated, i just love the background of those little orange boys, since the miniatures game, where none was playing them except me.
i know ii have a lot to learn but all help is welcome, just need to enter in game mecanism ahahah
