Character name availability

So I've recently tried getting into RoR for the first time, and when i made a character i selected the wrong class. I deleted said character and went to remake another with the proper class and same name to find it was unavailable. I read up on some older posts that after a server reset I'll be able to reuse said name, just curious if anyone can give me a confirmation on that or if i should just make a character with a different name entirely.
