High GPU load when looking at trees

Hi,
i always have a high GPU load when trees are in my field of view (the more trees, the worse it gets). Usually the load is only about 20-30%, but when i look at trees it goes up to 100%.
Do other players experience this as well? If yes, which graphic card do you have (mine is a nvidia gtx 470)?

Edit: i tried different driver versions (also some really old ones), but it seems not driver related.

As usual, blame the Elfs. We like trees, they're a Dwarfs enemy :3

WAR has really low polygon models, i can't imagine that this is the cause.

Maybe these are really all elf trees. Gonna farm some more galerunner axes and hand them out to all dwarven brethren for free, so i don't have to chop all trees by myself. :)

Are droprates fixed there (i assume in Chrace?) than in Snotwood or AD Trolls?

Doesn't the boars in mt. bloodhorn drop gale axes?
