Problem Launching the Game

Post#1 » Tue Apr 16, 2019 5:59 pm

Hey!

When I try launching the game now, instead of just starting like usual, the game starts playing the cinematic trailer (you know the one - the "War... is everywhere! >:I" one), but with only sound, the screen remains black.

If I try to skip through it by pressing ESC, the audio stops but the screen remains black, and I receive this error message:

Disconnected from server. Error: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): De software op uw hostcomputer heeft een verbinding verbroken
bij System.Net.Sockets.Socket.BeginReceive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags, AsyncCallback callback, Object state)
bij RoRLauncher.Client.vGeyH88Rf7VdQFxLFce(Object , Object , Int32 , Int32 , SocketFlags , Object , Object )
bij RoRLauncher.Client.BeginReceive()
bij RoRLauncher.Client.XgWjYh88QMNmLII9W0S()
bij RoRLauncher.Client.YFLZyjs0vm(Object )

I've also tried letting the intro run its course, but the screen remains black regardless. Interestingly, I didn't seem to get an error message if I pressed ESC after I let the cinematic finish.

EDIT: As far as I'm aware, there have been no updates on either RoR or elsewhere on my computer since this morning, at which point I could still play.

EDIT: Seems like this can be closed now. RoR just did a short update and it fixed my problem. ^^
