Choppa and Slayer both have equally bad survivability outside of self-heal being easier to land with Rampage, but that only matters against classes with block/parry that your are fighting in melee.
All this destro salt is coming from dest mdps who get killed by rampage as it only applies to classes with block/parry and any solo roamer tank should be able to outlast most any solo choppa/slayer (apart from the really good ones). So why won’t dest here own up and say they are referring to fighting Slayers on their mdps. Because rampage only helps deal damage on classes that block/parry which means the Slayer is already targeting mdps and tanks who can mitigate much of that physical dmg with armor. In wb play, sorry but rampage just doesn’t matter that much since Slayers should be pushing backline squish anyways. If your gripe with rampage is for solo play then preface your whine with that information.
Rampage also exhausts rage, so depending on the Slayer’s build, activating it is a damage gimp unless Slayer takes anti-exhaust tactics. Which have their own major implications. I also suspect people AoE or throw weapons at Slayer before melee range and stupidly build his rage early so he can pop 20 sec rampage before he even reaches you and starts building to yellow again
As Peter said, if either a Slayer or Choppa can pull off a channeled self-heal in 1v1 you are doing something wrong bc it is so easy to interrupt. Also, trying to 1v1 kite lords is just as hard wih Slayer as Choppa. I’m not even against giving Choppa rampage, just tired of hearing that it is this god tier ability. Is it good, yes. Does it have its counterplay and limitations like every other ability in the game, yes.
