I've been in and out of MMOs pretty much my entire life. The most I've played was the Elder Scrolls Online which gets extremely repetitive considering every character will do the same grueling quest-line. As much as I've tried I could never get into WoW, it just lacks a certain something keeping me from coming back. I'm hoping RoR will be different. I'm so stranger to private servers which is why I felt the need to introduce myself, and I'm a big fan of Warhammer so here's hoping I get hooked.
While the game downloads I just wanted to ask a few questions to the community who're surely dedicated enough to the game to have the answers I'm looking for:
- Firstly, are elves on this private server? The RoR Wiki is missing pages on elves and I'd be disappointed if they aren't available but totally understand if that is the case.
- Are the populations balanced? Eternal Crusade as my anecdote, Orc populations seem to be the first to go in these sorts of games. I'm just wondering if there's a lack of any race that could affect the RvR system.
- How involved are guilds and player markets? ESO has a piss poor guild system that hardly amounts to more than a text file telling you who your friends are, I'm hoping it won't be the case with this game but I haven't been able to see for myself just yet, so I figured I should ask.
- Lastly, I'm a huge chump for player housing but from what I gather there is none. Is there at least a system of Inns like in WoW to build a sense of home? Really I'm just asking if the world is comfy. Weird question I know but answers appreciated nonetheless.

yes, order has high elves and desto has dark elves. check the career builder at the top of the page to see all the classes. each realm has 3 factions: empire, high elf and dwarf vs chaos, dark elf and greenskin. each faction has 4 classes, tank, mdps, rpds, healerHappyCloud9 wrote: Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:41 pm - Firstly, are elves on this private server? there's absolutely nothing like that here. realm balance fluctuates from month to month, you're gonna see people complaining that either order or destro is too populated or strong at any given time, but pretty much all pop surveys show a near 50/50 split. no races are glaringly more or less popular than others. as for orcs pure greenskin guilds have always been a thing, there's definitely no lack of themHappyCloud9 wrote: Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:41 pm Are the populations balanced? they are on paper more involved but the server is still in alpha and i don't think either are 100% implemented. the end game for guilds will be very good but it's not quite there yet. the player market is pretty simple, i don't know what else is planned or could really be added to itHappyCloud9 wrote: Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:41 pm How involved are guilds and player markets? guilds have access to their own "inn" of sorts but it's not something players build on. player housing isn't a thing. the world is pretty comfy, depending on your idea of aesthetics. both capital cities are impressive. there are places where players congregate, people trading and crafting near the AH or people doing scenarios hanging around at the place to hand them inHappyCloud9 wrote: Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:41 pm Lastly, I'm a huge chump for player housing but from what I gather there is none. most people do spend the majority of their time campaigning though, travelling around and fighting pvp in a warband. keep fights can be pretty comfy though, especially if you're playing ranged and just hide behind your walls/tanks pew pewing the enemy
