Hey, I recently discovered this amazing project and so far i'm having a great time but I don't really understand renown system. I do get renown lvls but I can't wear any armor that is on my renown level. From what I understood I need to find some kind of renown vendors, right? I looked for them in Nordland and in Altdorf, but couldn't find any.

You Can find renown vendor at the nordland's warcamp or in the war quarter (the Red One) in altdorf

Uh, i think i explained that wrong, I'm lvl is 5 while renown 1 and it should be 5 right? I heard You get one renown per lvl, right?

The Level is a Renown Cap, to get the Renown Levels you need the alternative XP - Renown that you get after completing RvR or Scenario. Or just from killing players.

For questing and killing pve mobs you get EXP.

For killing enemy players or doing pvp related stuff you get EXP and RENOWN.

To wear pvp gear you have to do pvp related stuff.

It's recommended to stay at EXP-Level with your renown rank, e.g. lvl 33 you should be renown rank 33... or as it's often written here 33/33.

After leaving T1 you even should be 16/25.

This game is no fun without needed renown level. Exception: you're a pure pve player but then... what the hell are you doing here

okay, so how do I get to killing players? I'm only a lvl 5 dwarf, can't really do much as all the warbands i've seen are all lvl 40.

There are 4 tiers in this game... each tier has its own lvl range.

T1 is from lvl1 to lvl15
T2 T3 T4 are merged from lvl16 to 40

Your stats are getting bolstered to give you a chance vs enemy players of your Tier:
e.g. you're lvl2 in T1 RvR areas your stats automatically get boosted to higher levels... sometimes even that high that high rank players are complaining about the strength of low level players. This boosting scales with your (lowlevel) gear... the better your gear the bigger your boost.

Type .rvr in chat to see where the pvp action is.
But especially in T1 there's only a small time window every day the zone population is even. Most of the time it's either destro or order with a massive population advantage... it's possible you log in and only 3 or 4 ppl of your side are online vs 50+ on the other side. This gets better after T1.

90% of the time people in T1 are leeching renown at Battle Objects being afk anyways so its possible to be a real pain in the ass even as a 6man grp vs 50 destro. Also you get much more exp and renown when your side is outnumbered. Use your chat or just make a open group... most of the time its just the missing one opening a grp to get the rvr going.

In Tier 1, the fastest way to get renown is to go join a warband, by pressing L key and selecting to join it, then you can fight in whatever zone the wb is in.

Or you can just go stand on a battle objective in the RvR zone, for Nordland, the BOs, are the docks, platz, and shrine, just stand near a flag to capture it. And if your faction controls at least 2 BOs, you'll get renown ticks every couple seconds,

At level l 1 renown you'll gain levels of renown fast at least up to renown 8 just from renown ticks.

Play scenarios. Leveld from 1 to 32 nearly only by doing so, renown rank was always even or slightly ahead of level and much more fun then standing afk somewhere and leeching tiny points of renown ticks.
