Having 24 classes that aren't mirrored means there are little known exploits that exist within the game that players can use to tip the balance unfairly in their favor. Due to the complex nature of combat formulas these exploits remain hidden to most and makes balance impossible.
True balance is only achievable with mirrored classes. The only reason not to mirror classes is to have a game that is not balanced because you either know of or seek out these exploits. AoR was never designed to have mirrored classes and therefore balance never was and never will be achievable.
Is true player skill being the best with your classes abilities and knowledge of your enemies abilities or is it your knowledge of the exploitation of the games inbalance's?

Mirrors don't exist. You have mirrored mechanics and usually a fair amount of abilities for those mechanics. Outside that each career has its own internal balance between the trees/core; each realm has its own balance between the careers; and then there is supposed to be balance between the realms. Balance does not necessarily mean both sides have everything.
Example one side can have a 25% aa damage increase, and the other side can have a 25% aa damage decrease (would actually be 20% for math sakes due to multiplication, but still)
My personal opinion is that a career is balanced internally when a career is capable of performing in all major environments. All three masteries are viable in at least one of these environments. There is legitimate and hard choices to take and there is less of a clear cut path for every time use.
Realms are internally balanced whenever you don't have clear cut careers that you bring. You shouldn't be hurting in a huge way if 50% of your tanks are not Knights/Chosens.
Realms are externally balanced when each side has legitimate counters to the other sides strength, and what matters comes down to your composition is well-represented and played with skill.

Re: Class Matrix
collecting all the skills and tactics are first step to balance game.
very difference between players and makers.
i'm guessing inner circle already have it.

You forgot SH, Choppa and Engineer. Mauraders is also tied to a stance, which isnt a big deal, but a little misrepresented.Korhadreth wrote: Fri Nov 02, 2018 1:25 amAll classes get a tactic that is +160 to their base stat. Do you honestly expect me to tell you or just trying it on?
Marauders and only Marauders get a choice of:
+160 weapon skill and +160 initiative.
+160 strength and +160 initiative.
+160 toughness and +160 initiative.
The initiative means that mara needs less speccing into futile strikes than other classes saving them renown points while buffing their evade skill.
The weapon skill plus armour debuff practically if not literally avoids all armour.
The only other classes that get more than one base stat increase are shadow warrior (instinctive aim) and slayer (strength and weapon skill) and both take negative toughness penaltiess, instead Mara gets an initiative buff.
The thing I find interesting is you brought up Marauders, but didnt mention they are the only class with the ability to ignore armor pen or the tactic that ignores a bunch of armor.
Anyway everyone has access to this, if you need it in a spreadsheet really bad it wouldnt be hard to make one.
Someone might already have one, but it doesnt seem like they are sharing.
