[WL] Current builds discussion

Hello,
i would like to talk about current builds for wl. If someone will find some good setup can help friends.

Since last patch i was testing two builds.
Strength and dps oriented hunter/axeman and defensive guardian/huter.
While in the first setup dmg was pretty nice, surv was rly bad in my opinion and missing knockdown is rly painfull.
Guardian dmg atm is terrible. Surv is fine but iam not able to kill anybody with this dmg.

Do U have any ideas?

Hi there facundo, for now, you should just ignore the guardian tree. Since the pet is no longer scaling with gear, the damage isn’t there. Your survivability is obviously higher, but an mdps with no damage isn’t very appealing to anybody.

Hunter/axeman is in an ok spot. It Certainly has some burst potential, but without an incoming heal debuff, no knockdown, a fetch that’s nearly impossible to use on moving targets due to the pet’s comically slow pace (with or without speed training), and roughly the sustained damage of an offensive tank, I’ve kind of lost interest in the class for now. The risk vs reward gratification just isn’t there for me.

BUT they’re not done with the class just yet. We are still high on the balance team’s “to do” list as they said. Just enjoy the class and give it time. Let’s see what the future brings.

i am waiting for next changes. I noticed that pet is terrbile now. I will few builds with loner maybe. My main goal is to balance dmg and survi but is pretty hard at wl atm.

But still many classes so ez outplayin wl atm in my opinion

A previous developer had visions of the white lion being a petless class, and a replica of the Marauder with none of its survivability.

He accomplished this by simply taking away pet damage. This forced all white lions to run loner to put out any respectable damage. This also forced us to lose our source of control. For a while there, we played the class with no kd, no fetch, and no silence. It was just an elf that hopped around and tried to kill before imploding with no defensive tools at his disposal.

Fortunately, the class is back to its roots. Let’s see what they do with it.

Today I played all day my WL and I have to say that dmg is quite ok, the only problem that I see is the pet that is very slow so you cant use him as Fetch and dmg is also very low. Other thing that bothers me is WL survivability. WL is very squishy and dies in few seconds if focused by a WE or some other mdps or rdps. Maybe more durability will help.

if I hav ea complaint and now hopefully with client control to adjust it, is the silence and kd being on the pet, whereas all other mdps do it them selves, even if buried in specific trees.
Bringing the pet back to about 3/4 of the output we had at point the outrage over the deftard spec hit would be ok. you'd still have to do more than heal it but not feel cornered in to being hunter/axe loner slotted.

How About sth like the old Guardian spec with 2 Wounds doin 1 Strenth for Pet?

Or again Toughness for Strength, Maybe with 1 or 2 minor tweaks since this was already a step in the Right direction.

Hi all,

I saw too many discussion on builds. In my opinion, focus on damage is best option for now. I am sharing my dmg build. It also has too many things for decrease armor. If you have suggestion please share with me.

Char: https://www.returnofreckoning.com/armor ... =Lionlover

https://ror-career-builder.herokuapp.co ... 87,4278&t=

Tactics: Brute Force, Full-Grown, Pack Synergy, Tearing Blade.

Buff: Threaten.

RR point: max critical change, secondary is strength.

Crit chance: %21-22 around, Str: 800 around without any potion and buff.

I do really high dmg(1000-1300) to shaman, magus, squick header. I think this build is better than loner build, because of pack synergy.

Have Fun,
Lionlover
